Vista Mar Hotel

Pros +

• Our stay at Vista Mar Hotel in Bocas del Toro was a mix of experiences. While the hotel shows signs of age and rooms are quite small, the accommodations were comfortable enough for our 3 nights visit. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a good start to our days. The daily happy hour, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, featured $3 cocktails - among the pia coladas and daiquiris we thoroughly enjoyed. At nearly $100 per night, Vista Mar felt a bit pricey for what it offers, but the central waterfront location and friendly staff helped balance things out. Even though we had quite a bit of rain during our stay, we still enjoyed the laid-back vibe of the island.
• The breakfast was ok. I normally drink about three cups of coffee a day and the cook lady told me I was only allowed to 2 cups. Only 2 cups per customer. I never heard this before.

Cons -

• I requested ocean view hotel with a king bed and I did not get it. They gave us a room with two beds. My view was to the parking lot and the window shades were broken. I could not close the window for privacy. I had to take another blind and place it over the open window. It took them 2 days to fix the window. They did not provide toiletries. No shampoos or hair dryer just 2 little bars of soap. It was a good thing I always bring my own. We checked out early and they agreed to refund me the money, but to this day. I have not received anything. So on top of everything they are thiefs. Should not be in business.
• some like that work in the kitchen on friday 21 march ,do not have the best actitud toward to guest the rest wonderful. thank you!
