    Very Good

    Based on 131 reviews

    Pros +

    • In general nice area among the banana plantations. And good breakfast
    • The food at dinner was awful- many reviews have highlighted this already so to repeat the comments - the food was poor quality (seemed frozen and canned) and expensive. I get this is a small hotel but I think they could benefit from getting you to confirm if you are having dinner in the morning, choosing your food and then serving proper fresh food in the evening - this would eliminate the problem of food waste and allow them to buy fresh food. The junior suite we had was also very dark and would benefit from some inexpensive ceiling lights. The bathroom was dated and the shower gel and shampoo were not replenished.
    • Loved the location surrounded by banana plantations. Quiet, and peaceful.

    Cons -

    • Sound insulation is bad, could can clearly hear when the people next door are talking or watching the tv.
    • Food very mediocre.
    • Location meant it was impossible to walk into nearest town. Swimming pool very small and food had little variation. Left early

Unreal experience to go back in time. The nature, beauty of the place and surroundings. With all high quality services. The heated pool, the jacuzzi and garden furniture to have a late night coctail.

Attractive hotel sited around banana plantations, with plenty of outdoor space with sun loungers

    Food very mediocre.

Beautiful building and lovely spacious rooms. Staff are very friendly. Excellent breakfast and nice restaurant for dinner. Pool area is perfect for chilling and sunbathing. Other facilities like a gym which is nice. Great location as well. Short drive into Arunas with lots of good places to eat.

It was like a museum experience in a banana field. A travel back in time, a confortable and interesting one.I liked the views, the entire hotel, the rooms, old looking but still confy and clean. The bananas are really tasty. Good breakfast.

    I liked everything.

A big banana field, where you can walk.Tasty breakfast, gym - small, but functional

Insects in the room, smell of the dampness in the room, less of glasses in the room

It’s a lovely, rustic, sprawling, old property, converted into a beautiful and interesting building to holiday in. Each room seemed to be unique; mine had a very high ceiling, with a bathroom in the corner, where the bathroom walls changed to glass panels at the *very, very* top to maintain the feeling of space. All walls are white and furniture seems antique and dark wood. It’s just the opposite of a modern, cookie-cutter, mundane and nondescript hotel - an aspect I particularly loved. There’s a large lounge area with big, comfy settees and a huge open fireplace and hearth for the cooler evenings. Games are also provided. Our stay was over Christmas and I don’t know of live music is always provided for evening meals, but we had a charming and talented violinist playing quietly in the background. Our entry to the evening meal was marked by a glass of Cava and a large, red rose - little details that made me feel welcome but not in the big, mass produced way of a package holiday. I think that’s because the staff are client-focused, with big smiles and conversation for all. The grounds are very well maintained and the secluded pool area with sun beds is a lovely spot for a read and a drink (if you’re not a swimmer, like me!).

There was no food available during the day, but that proved not to be a problem as the buffet breakfast was so plentiful that I wasn’t even hungry until the evening! Food is available nearby.

The place itself is lovely. Amazing vibe, friendly people, food was alright. The energy of the banana plantage around is insane. Such a pity they don't do weddings anymore, we would have loved to get married there.

It could need a little renovation here and there like new beach chairs and upgrade of some smaller things in the bathroom.

Staying in a banana plantation with the smells of jasmine and sweet fruit as well as the overall ambience was unreal. Staff friendly and will help with things, offer to show you traditional foods at breakfast (very good with even fried bananas from plantation)! Owner Ricardo friendly and took us on a tour and recommended a great walk and restaurant ‘La Cilla’ in Artenara!

Room 05 - beds very uncomfortable and lighting very bright. Extra lamps and new mattresses would fix this.

The situation is amazing. Right in the middle of a banana plantation. So peaceful. The building is lovely too. Very ‘Spanish hacienda’.The jacuzzi room is very grand, there’s a lovely sitting room, beautiful patios, a lovely dining terrace.

Great location and setting! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The surroundings are beautiful and nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts!

We received an upgrade and the room was fantastic. The whole Hacienda is lovely to wander. It is a very peaceful setting. The staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. The restaurant is beautiful. We really enjoyed the breakfast.

The dinner didn't quite meet expectations. The quality of the dinner food was a little disappointing. It didn't seem freshly made compared to what we could get at local restaurants for a similar price.

Superb location, perfect for relaxation. Lovely history .

The bathtub could be replaced with new one ,keeping the old style of the house.

    9EmmanuelPosted on: 7-31-2024

the location, the quiet and peaceful surrounding, the breakfast was very good.

The room was a bit small and the running mill in the fitness room wasn't working. The walkway from the parking to the hotel is about 150 m of cobblestones not too kind on the wheels of your suitcase.

The villa is absolutely stunning, and it is located in a quiet area surrounded by banana plantations. The breakfast was delicious, the jacuzi very pleasant, hammocks on the back very relaxing. We got a free upgrade to a larger room, and was clean. The swimming pool looks smaller than in the photo, it is not perfectly clean, but it is still very enjoyable.

The bed in the queen suite should definitely be replaced. The bed frame is fragile, it bends, and was partially painted (when the walls were repainted?). The mattress and the slatted base are probably thirty years old, and make sleeping extremely uncomfortable. It is a shame that such a pricey accommodation does not provide better solutions. I understand that maybe the style of a notorious swedish furniture shop does not fit the villa, but hey, I can't tolerate sleeping in a bed which does not even match the quality of a 400€ one.

Friendly staff, nice breakfast, good restaurant, peaceful location

Rooms could do with an update

Outstanding breakfast, great choice and surroundings, very well presented. Waiters were always there topping up dishes, attending tables.
