Calamari Beach Resort

The room was very spacious and comfortable.. its honestly beautiful

The location wasn't that great, and the beach wasn't a sandy beach??

The food was good but sometimes the service was "ordinary". Bed was comfortable. Overall was good but overpriced for what was presented.

The room was not up to my standards. no window covering on kitchen window so no privacy, particularly at night in lounge/living room. Bathroom drains did not flow, so you end up standing in shower water and water comes up through floor waste in bathroom floor. Both bathrooms. Ist apartment had NO hot water, moved to 2nd apartment, hot water OK. No insect screens on windows so difficult to cool rooms. A/Cs not suitable for room size and could not cool hot rooms. Swimming pool was being renovated so no pool available. This facility does NOT have beach access despite being advertised as a Beach resort.

Great sea view. Furthermore, the rooms had a kitchen and utensils, allowing visitors an opportunity to cook own food

The rooms were clean and nice, and the staff was super super friendly and helpful

The staff were great & very helpful. The view from our balcony was very nice. The apartment was modern, large & well equipped.

The shower was always cold, if you could get it to work. The water pressure was very low on day 1 to non existent on our last day. We had to shower at our next hotel!

The staff of calamari resort are amazing, they made sure that we had a great experience throughout. The ambience of the place is unreal, the fresh breeze from the sea is indescribable. I would ? recommend this place for a perfect stay. The female receptionist and Waiter Max was amazing.

There was a leak in our bathroom when we showered however it did not bother us that much

I was not able to swim in the beach. I booked this location because I was interested in the beach but unfortunately the beach wasn’t accessible. One can just look. No possibility to swim in the beach.

Everything was fantastic but small bits & pieces required like supply of water bottles ,washing machine ,iron & maintain small grocery shop & very far to town spending $50 for up/downBreakfast variety to minimum but delicious, the staff very friendly especially Lyer & her staff for arranging lunch buffet for our family

Our room air conditioning not cooling forming ice looks no competent electrician whitin the area

Quiet location with wonderful and spacious rooms overlooking the pool and sea with a bar on the side. Mark/Max is a wonderful person who looked after our needs from the time of checkin to checkout and it was totally hassle free.

The shower in the bathroom was old and not working properly and once reported to them they immediately sent someone to repair but it should have been replaced.

The staff was super friendly.And the house was auper spacious ans cleanWe were really impressed with everything.We wished we stayed longer.

The staff are so kind and super friendly. The food was one of the best highlight of our trip here in Zanzibar. The view was super fantastic. Leah and other receptionist were super helpful to us in many ways. They helped me with payment methods even outside of the resort. It was the best experience that i wish to live for again. Highly recommend staying here during trip to Zanzibar.

The place was very nice in a serene environment. Staff were friendly. Was cosy, and the food was nice.The manager went out of her way to decirate our apartment for my husbands birthday. Thank you, Leah, and thank you, Calamari. I would surely recommend friends over ?

The road going to the villas needs a lot of attention as it doesn't really portray a good picture of what's ahead.Once someone books, all costs should be mentioned to clients.

It very pretty. Pool was nice. Staff were very good. Check in was great.

No shade around the pool. Room was odd - very big but seemed unfinished. Door handles were on upside down, the curtains were on backwards so black out lining was facing wrong way, there wardrobes doors were missing. There weee random holes in the walls and also there was no door to the bathroom. Nothing big but just odd. Biggest genuine issue was no mosquito nets on the bed and windows and doors and holes in theirs. So no huge complaints but at same time price point of this resort requires small details to be better.

AC was not cooling, several people came to check it to no avail.Ants,flies, and mosquito everywhere even after spraying insecticides in the room twice, proper fumigation is needed Pool was dirtyLocation was too far from everything, it was awfully quiet and boring.Breakfast was very poor, no varieties.Bathroom has plumbing issues and foul smell especially when u flush.WiFi was very poor and only works in some part of the apartment.
