    Pros +

    • The room and surroundings were clean and neat. It is very peaceful and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
    • The staff went an extra mile for me to be comfortable. I felt safe and well taken care of.The kitchen lady knew her way around the kitchen, her food was to die for.Thank you very much for your ubuntu and care, I would definitely come back anytime.
    • My husband is disabled.. although the hotel isn’t totally wheelchair friendly.. the staff went out of their way to accommodate him making the whole stay totally enjoyable and comfortable

    Cons -

    • The gravel road to get to the Manderson was not in a good condition, due to the rain.
    • Nothing,
    • The road to the venue… if one could call it a road. Full of potholes. Unfortunately I know the hotel isn’t responsible but would makes us rethink about returning

    The restaurant and heated blankets

All the Dstv channels did not work

    7JankeesPosted on: 10-31-2023

The rooms were close to to the reception and facilities and the desk staff is very welcoming. To sit in the garden to have a drink is a bonus. The menu is small but the steak and chips came up to expectation.

The Hotel is a bit tired and although everything functions a bit "70 style. The staff comes and tells you you better get going with your Dinner order as they would like to go home early. The road to the hotel is full of potholes.

Nice clean rooms, good food and friendly staff

No two pronged plug in the room so could not charge my phone

    4SunettePosted on: 8-20-2023

    The garden is very nice.

We booked a two bedroom suite and we got given 2 sachets of coffee and 4 sugars.. this room can sleep 4 ppl. I don’t think that is enough for a unit sleeping 4 ppl.

The rooms were basic, but had everything we needed for our stay (which includes a coffee station and heated blanket) and were clean. The area is great with chickens walking around. It gave it a very homey "farm-style" feeling. The scenery is also very beautiful. The staff were very friendly and could accommodate us earlier than check-in time

California Red Wood in front of room 11

No hot water . It is impossible to lock the room with the key. No offers of breakfast or supper. No DSTV with Supersport

A nightmare! Not value for money

No Aircon, Wifi not working, restaurant & pub not available, no plug in bath, no toilet roll, given wrong suite

Good location, quiet full of nature. breakfast was good,

Room facilities. TV not connected to other channels. We waited for 30 mins to check in. We changed rooms 3 times because there was something not up to standard.

Very Spacious, clean and comfortable room with a beautiful garden view. Very tranquil surroundings and the Receptionist was really kind and helpful. We will definitely be back!

The friendliness of the staff. It was a very peaceful place to relax.

I think they need new TVs in the rooms.

Hospitality - the staff were brilliant. The food was wonderful. The fact that the beds had electric blankets.

The room was stuffy and the dampness was very strong.Cobwebs in the bathroom by the windows. The muddy road leading to the hotel from the main tar road.

    7KayPosted on: 4-26-2022

They were quite accomodating for check in and checked out times even arranged transport from the lodge to town.

It's supposed to be self catering but there's no microwave nor fridge. The carpets are dirty. They also need new beds.

    1RobPosted on: 4-14-2022

Breakfast was booked when the booking was made via Booking.com but the hotel said it had not been booked.

The carpet in my room was filthy.

    3SomtsoraPosted on: 1-24-2022

    The privacy

It wasn't as advertised. The room was small, there was no fridge, microwave or oven and there was no WiFi
