Ruslamere Hotel and Conference Centre

The rooms are well furnished and quite comfortable. Very comfortable double bed. Air conditioner worked well and was quiet. Breakfast was well presented, a bit limited but nevertheless sufficient for the purpose. The area and hotel is very quiet so no disturbances when working at night and sleeping. Eating utensils in the room are very handy

The TV was dysfunctional. No bar fridge in the room. No restaurant for dinner. No bar service (unless I missed it). The terrain / garden is not very well managed. Needs more regular maintenance.

Excellent upgrade to room with extra space. Love the mini kitchen and fridge also microwave. Must have when staying longer.

The bedding

I booked on booking.com and specified my check in time, shortly ther after I received a message from ruslamere via booking.com asking for my check in time after I had already specified it, shortly thereafter I was called by ruslamere AGAIN asking for my check in time. The floors in my room were sticky and dirtyThe room had a bad odor, almost like masked cigarette smoke The room that was booked for me wasn't available as someone left their belongings and ruslamere clearly didn't do an inspection beforehand and I needed to sleep in a different roomThe shower water lost heat not even 10 minutes after I started showering The shampoo and conditioner containers were lowSomeone started knocking on a nearby door at 6:30am and woke me upThe charging port on the side of the bed that I wanted to sleep on did not workThe breakfast which I ended up not opting in for had a very limited varietyOverall quite disappointing.

Always a pleasure to deal with them. Highly professional and very clean.

Wi-Fi could be better.

Toilet handle was broken; WiFi was super slow; shower wasn’t nice; other guests were extremely loud at night (past midnight) and no one from the property was available to complain to. If there was someone, they certainly didn’t ask them to be respectful to other guests. Breakfast was not worth the money paid.

On arrival the night manager on duty welcomed us with a smile and made us feel at home.The suite was clean, beautifully decorated with complimentary refreshments.The cleaning staff cleaned the suite daily.One of the best hotels that I have stayed in in over four decades.

This is not a hotel. Overpriced for a guest house experience. Rooms were comfortable, but the bed had a loose spring rigging into your shoulder.No snack bar got there late after a work meeting. Breakfast was horrible, no Bacon, just some kind of sausage, half cooked eggs and cold mushrooms. Plates and cutlery were not clean. Paid R200 extra for breakfast.I needed a band-aid, and the "hotel" staff said they don't have one. Who does not have a 1st aid kit with some band aids in this kind of industry??? Absolutely not an hotel.

Disappointing

Bed was extremely uncomfortable. Place is old and rundown

Overall we were very disappointed with our stay, and will definitely not return.

The room was very disappointing, with a view over a very derelict back yard The bed was comfy but we were bitten by ants all night. When we complained in the morning they sent pest control into the room to spray ant poison while we were in the room! We insisted they move us to another room, but it was equally disappointing as it was very dirty and needed some TLC. The sheets had holes in them, and in generally everything was very tired. there was also a metal bar in the middle of the bed which you could feel when lying down. The shower also overflowed when we showered.

Spacious room.

Very noisy from adjacent rooms. Very thin dry walls. Bathroom dirty with the shower door not working properly, mould build up in the shower. No aircon remote to turn it off being noisy throughout the night. Wifi not working with problem reported apon arrival - yet to receive feedback. Was informed on arrival (late afternoon only) that the restaurant not serving dinner. Will defnitely not see me again.

Neat and very central.

Nr 1. It is non smoking but the people smoke outside and all the smoke come in your room. We closed the window but it did not help. When you walk in the passage you cannot breath with the smoke. Nr 2. You have to walk with all your luggage from your car (not in front of your room) and stairs.

Low/Cold water and there was an ant infestation. From the bathroom to the room. Very unpleasant experience.

A bit expensive. The breakfast was also optional and expensive....R200 per person. Staff was not present when i was checking out. Left keys at reception desk.

Staff moved items out of room. Seems that staff uses the room when not booked. Staff jut opened the room and was shocked to see a person there.

Rooms are big and comfortable.

The rooms are not soundproof where I stayed.. You can basically hear all your neighbors' conversations..

Not what I booked online, different to picture, everywhere was fully booked and we could not get anywhere else. We were made to sleep away from our children, a good 300-400 metres when we booked two rooms next to each other. Still feel robbed and would honestly request my money back. Worst experience

Wrong rooms, one was leaking water from the air con and carpet was dripping wet and they had to move us again, everything falling apart. Like a 1990s property that needs renovation but owners not bothered about it, carpets dirty and stinking

Tranquility of the place. The staff is top notch! Always helpful and very professional. Very accommodating with everything. Actually still here because I extended my stay with no hassle at all for another 3 days.
