We had a room on the front to take advantage of the view but it was a little noisy during the night
Nice clean, quiet room. Very comfortable bed-slept well. Lovely location overlooking Roosevelt Park with the Riverwalk right behind. Walked along the river to the UNESCO museum. Outdoor pool was refreshing after a hot day.
Old fashioned keys for the room. No safe in the room. The Breakfast buffet was ample, but kind of unappealing. (Bread for toast was generic white loaf & husband had a pastry that was stale) They did have fresh melon, apples & bananas available though. Plus, Coffee was pretty good.
Nice balcony. Good place to stay close to the river with good restaurant.
The location, the pool, the bed.
No courtesy water, coffee/tea in the room. Breakfast is not good enough for the price.
Old but clean hotel with nice and kind staff.
Very poor breakfast. Lack any type of eggs and full of sugar pastry. You may change a bit extra and offer better breakfast
The hotel was conveniently located near the two main streets. The walk along the riverside path from the hotel to the meat packing plant was pleasant. I liked the old photographs of the meat packing plant acknowledging the history of the town which were on display in the corridor. The room was quiet.
No bar was available. The choice at breakfast was adequate but not inspiring.
The location was nice, the view was pleasant.
The TV/cable did not work, we called the front desk to get help to fix the issue and was told there clerk at the front desk was alone so to bad. She offered no solutions and did not offer to change our room. Breakfast was basic a small plate of sliced oranges that had a lot of small insects crawling all over them. There was also a small bowl that had fruit salad being offered but was almost entirely empty. There also were a few bugs on the pastries. There were no bowls for cereal and the orange juice container was empty as was the water pitcher. There were no attendants to ask for more juice.
Very clean, large, comfortable rooms. After staying in quite a few basic places across s.america this was a welcome change!
An incredible view of the river, good location with a tree-lined square in front, the rooms are well ventilated and the construction of the building was well planned so that all guests had access to the balcony.
Just an observation regarding the cleanliness of the rooms they should pay attention to the mirrors and glass on the balcony door and hair from the previous guest, other than that everything else was impeccable
Great view from the balcony. excellent shower.
haphazard wifi
We had a warm and comfortable room and the shower was great. it was in a lovely location. went for a run in the morning. Breakfast was disappointing, very basic and not very tempting. I had one tiny pastry. it could have been better.
The breakfast.
Convenient position, car parking available, clean, comfortable rooms with shared balcony with view on the Riverside, staff was helpful to fix TV and provide hot water and cups for coffee (no coffee available in the rooms, we bought ourselves)
The hotel name creates expectations... It is rather a modern, basic hotel It does not offer the comfort and ambience you would expect from its name. Rooms do not have an individual balcony but share the same balcony with other rooms. Not enough plugs to recharge phones/pc. Breakfast hall looks like an office canteen rather than an hotel. You have to pick up a tray from a counter and ask for what you want. No table service nor buffet.
the location
the room small and a dog was balking all night long!
The hotel is ok, well located, near the river
The breakfast was very poor. COVID may not be the excuse for such poor breakfast
Spacious room and a nice location across from a riverside park
Desayuno
Only stayed one night to visit the Fray Bentos museum. Perfectly fine, no complaints.
