Hotel Sommelo

Room was very nice and spacious, toilet also very functional and big, I really liked it. Peaceful and quiet place. Also so good breakfast! Very wide variety of choice and the stuff were so kind :)

Good location for those who came with a car.

The whole building is full of risk consctructions which were common in 1970's. Unfortunately those risks have been now realized and the building is heavily infested by mold, escpecially the ground floor where our room was.Fortunately it was a warm summer night so we had the ventilation hatch fully open all night long and a fan pushing fresh air in all the time. With the help of that arrangement we were able to survive one night in this heavily mold infested room.Cannot recommend staying in this hotel. I cannot be healthy for you.

Rooms were badly furnished and old

Room is OK size, bathroom is big enough and what I like is that the water pressure is very good - people with long and thick hair will know what I am talking about.

Outdated, fine that you can live with, but dead bugs on a window sills, sorry not OK. Breakfast is nothing special.

The staff was super nice and welcoming. The breakfast was surprisingly good and they offered nice amount of vegan options when asking. They also cooked falafels for me and my friend which was so sweet. The bar upstairs was closed but there were cute decoration.

The sauna and the pool could be open in the morning as well.

Very good breakfast, silent room, good ped and pillow.

Location and parking space was excellent. Also the price was fair. Staff was friendly and helpful. Quiet and peaceful, not too many visitors at the time.

Little bit left befind and old. Room was ok, smells a bit funny. Old, obviously smoked indoors alot back in the days.

I have been booking 5 hotels a week since the beginning of the year and this hotel won the ranking of the worst hotel among Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. I feel like I'll never come back ?

Located in a piecefull suburb next to a river and parks. The staff was exceptionally friendly. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Sauna and cool pool.

Good value for money. Great location with shops close by and close enough to Kouvola.

I liked the hotel, although it is not new. What I didn't like: 1. the sauna was cold. 2 pool water was very cold!. I didn't dare to swim

The hotel provided the grab bars in the shower as I requested. The breakfast was good, not great, but good. The one staff member was great, helpful and kind.

An older facility, the room with the grab bars was quite a walk from reception.

Double bed instead of twin beds

Before booking the hotel we actually thought it's closed for good because of the road work and construction around it. When we arrived to the hotel, it was a pleasant surprise. Location was great in the middle of the city. Staff was very friendly, room had a good closet space and beds were very comfortable, sauna and pool were free and open until 23 on Saturday. Also breakfast was very good and versatile. The hotel is very retro 80's, for us it was a plus but maybe not for everybody.

The room didn't have an air conditioning, but it had a fan so we slept ok.

Price includes sauna, pool, breakfast and parking. Clean rooms. Tasty breakfast with many dishes. And the main +: thank you for booking without card! It is very important now for Russian guests bcs our cards are unacceptable.

the outdoor area's were a little messy and overgrown walkways.

Easy check-in with code and then you got the keys.The breakfast clearly exceeded my expectations, as when I came in the evening the building seemed almost abandoned.

There was food from the previous guest forgotten in the fridge, that´s why one mark off the cleanliness.
