Mount Shekinah Country Hotel

Location was nice and it was very spacious.

The master bedroom is completely open. The toilet and shower should be barricaded or closed off separately. We had to request for extra bed sheets which we put over the wooden rafters to separate the open toilet and shower from the bedroom.Further, the place caters for 10 people. When we arrived there, there wasn't sufficient wine, champagne, whiskey glasses. Also cutlery was not sufficient for 10 people. We had several calls with the reception to bring these items to us, which they did.

That you had a small cottage and not just a room, overlooking a beautiful green lawn with an exceptional view.

Staff were very friendly. The location is beautiful and so were the gardens / pool areas. Rooms were very spacious and the bathrooms are great. Very clean.

Rooms were clean and very big but the furniture in our room was old and outdated.Service in the restaurant was terribly slow and due to having to leave we opted to not have breakfast. Shower pressure was very low.

We had a terrible experience at the house we rented for the Easter weekend, the house is in disrepair and needs major attention. Firstly there was no hot water in half the house. The dishes and cutlery was insufficient and did not cater for the no of persons in the house as it’s a 5 bedroom house. 1 bedroom experienced a severe leak from the bathroom above. The worst aspect was that the cleaners used a chemical to clean the entire house thatGave the entire house a horrible odour that even remained on our clothing after leave the house. The cleaners also left this in an unmarked water bottle on a washroom basin, containing this chemical that appeared as water which was ingested by a family member that caused him to be severely ill.The cleaners and management did nothing to assist and tried desperately to shrug off the incident.Very upset guests and after paying such a large sum of money for the house.

The location was perfect for the festival at Michaelhouse. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious. Everything was just in good working order.

Their information book in the rooms needs to be updated.

Need small table for bag. In the room and in the bathroom especially. It is very difficult to walk with all the luggage to excecutive room. No one to help you or a carrier to makr it easy for you.

The location was just perfect and everything was clean and comfortable.Attention to detail as in some water in the rooms, robes etc.

Can’t think of anything was good value for money, the breakfast and coffee was a great as well and included!

The food is really good - especially the pizzas! Breakfast was also beautifully presented. The gardens and buildings are well maintained. The thoughtful snacks and slippers were a nice suprise.

My only criticism would be that the bathroom on our little cottage could probably use a bit of an update. I am a very light sleeper so the train and pump next to our room disturbed me in the night.

The room was warm during the cold rainy days

The breakfast was not buffet, we had to wait for our food and did not have much of a choice or selection for cereals, yoghurts & fruits.

The food was excellent ?. The room was very clean , comfortable and tranquil. The views from the restaurant were breathtaking. We enjoyed our stay. Very close to Michael House

The rooms and the property are clean and well taken care of.

The staff dont pay attention to detail. They require basic customer service training. You literally have to ask for cutlery all the time. They are not available to seat you and they take long to assist.

The location was great, and the views were to die for.

The accommodation had no air-conditioning, and the bar did not have much to offer to drink. Everything was out of stock while the property was fully booked.

Nice Breakfast, We had excellent steak and lamb chops for dinner. Superb location for events hosted at Michael HouseEnjoyed the pool in front of the Room

Door to the Room not standard height, as there is a step outside, and then an awkward step into the room. My husband bumped his head very hard on the final day.

I loved my room, it was comfortable & clean. The staff is also very friendly

Rooms were clean, nice bathrooms, and staff were excellent. Dinner was very good.

WiFi didn’t work in the room. Phone didn’t work. Chairs outside were in very poor condition. No hot water from the shower. Curtains were way too thin for the bright lights outside shining in. Hard to sleep in the bright rooms

The property is beautiful! Offering the most pristine views and a private pool. The staff is so friendly.

No air conditioning in the rooms. There’s a lot of spiders and other crawling insects that we found in the room.Be prepared to hear everything that the people in the next unit do. I mean everything!
