    Pros +

    • Great food! Great location! Friendly staff.
    • We enjoyed our stay and would surely return. The breakfasts were delicious and offered a good variety. The garden is beautiful and the staff very friendly.
    • We had live music on the Friday night when we arrived, which was very enjoyable and made the evening very festive. Friendly staff all round and the food was devine especially the chicken liver pate starter. Will definately be back!

    Cons -

    • No complaints
    • Mostly just the food standard should be improved, staff was friendly so that helped. There was a flower show so the only dining area was either undercover outside which was way too cold as it was also raining or in the bar
    • One room had blood on the sheets and some broken glass which cut the finger of one of our party. The heaters in the rooms never worked and the promised hot water bottles never were brought to us. The coldest night I have ever spent in a hotel. Had to sleep with a sweater on. Internet does not work in the rooms. The manager’s response to the broken glass was, “sorry”. That was it!

The breakfasts were amazing. Very filling. We sat in the bar as the fire was going, a lovely chilled and relaxing atmosphere. Location was perfect. Skippy is an awesome friendly kitty, we enjoyed having him sleep between us while we were sitting in the bar by the window.

Breakfast was received cold, asked for sunny side up eggs and got fully done eggs, only 1 fruit juice available, my dinner had to be sent backed as the chicken fillet was dry and very thickly battered and crumbed so the food did not meet my expectations

Mostly just the food standard should be improved, staff was friendly so that helped. There was a flower show so the only dining area was either undercover outside which was way too cold as it was also raining or in the bar

Breakfast was such a treat to have included! We also ate at the restaurant for dinner and their food is amazing. Even better that all staff are so helpful and kind! We honestly loved our stay. So easy to find and near many other cute spots on the meander. Calm and relaxing.

This could be a perfect hotel. It is nicely equipped. The beds are comfortable. For the most part the staff are friendly.

The room was very clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was great with a huge shower and tub. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Super location, fabulous that they have a restaurant as well and a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city

Found mould on the sheets under the pillow which wasn’t overly great, and the swimming pool was a bit green & yucky so we elected not to swim in it. Otherwise all good!

Beautiful surroundings, a disabled friendly room, friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We had the finest of times.

Location on Midlands MeanderRoom was spacious and well appointed. Nice bathroom

Lounge facilities were a bit sparse.

the room was very comfybathroom and shower was great

the included breakfast was badgenuinely needs a full on English menuor a nice boerie breakfast

The staff was very welcoming, helpful & friendly. The place is quite serene and very child friendly.

It would have been nice to get a room closer to the play area and has a bath tub since we were travelling with kids, but we still enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast had no variety, boring and the potions were small.Too many flies while eating

The window had a whole..it was raining the windows were left opened and the rain wet the floor. There were paddles of water on the floor we asked the staff to wipe and remove the wet capert no one came…The window at unit 21 had a whole reported about it nothing was done we were told it was reported but maintenance didn’t fix it..The type of flooring is an old farm style and it was dirty due to the grass coming in…Limited toiletries,no TV no fridge no microwave flies flies flies the biggest turn off…No entertainment at all…We ask the DJ to play songs that accommodate all races and specifically request a song but only Afrikaans ppl were prioritised…same menu everyday

    6HlengyPosted on: 1-3-2025

    Rooms were clean & cosy

It didn’t have enough activities since it’s allocated at the farm. Menu is too limited!

    8RickyPosted on: 12-20-2024

    Good but very limited options.

The garden at our unit was not tended to. However, all other the units with gardens were well maintained.

    8DennisPosted on: 12-17-2024

    The friendly staff. The location

Problems with the water supply & pressure.

    8DanPosted on: 12-16-2024

The bed and linen was amazing. Heater that works. Love the location. Loved that we could bring our dogs with and that they could roam freely.Overall really enjoyed our stay. Would love to visit again.

More attention to bathroom extras (shower gel, shampoo etc). Shower gel didn't smell nice. Not having more coffee available, as we are early rises. We could only make ourselves one coffee in the room.

    8ChristinePosted on: 11-25-2024

The Bed was super comfortable. The shower and hot water was fantastic. I felt quite safe staying on my own.

No hairdryer. No mirror near a plug so I could easily use my own hairdryer. I'd have liked a heads up about the live music on Friday night.

    9MerrissPosted on: 10-24-2024

I enjoyed the breakfast, but would have liked some fruit. Otherwise it was good.

Needed a rubbish bin in the bedroom. There was only one in the bathroom. While I didn't miss the TV, I think other people may have. I would also have like to have known about the wi-fi sooner. An information book in the room would have helped.
