- It was an unforgettable stay! I do not have enough words to describe the breathtaking scenery, the well -kept grounds, the accommodation and dining experience....I could recommend this resort to anyone who love nature, but also appreciate luxury and being spoiled rotten.
Cons -
- Everything calm and accommodating a
- Staff make too many mistakes with billing items to go on tabs - they need training! Food is very expensive.
- The heated swimming pool closed at 19.00 in the evenings. it would be great if guests could swim till 21.00. Rather open it then later in the mornings...

Atmosphere, clean rooms
Toilet seat very high, tv doesn't work properly with remote, other guests making noise at night.
Beautiful property with great nature surrounding it. Great trails and views. Restaurant was very good and rich in choices.
Should have stayed longer!
Breakfast was nice, dinner was also nice. Rooms was clean, comfortable, it was home away from home.
There were no bar fridge in the room put my drinks, I was very dissapointed. For dinner I wish they offered atleast a juice as part of the meal. I felt R300 is too much for meals with no juice.
We liked the food ( buffet), we ate sheep tail for the first time and it tasted absolutely amazing. The heated pool and the scenery as a whole. The drakensburg mountains are just God’s master piece. Our stay was perfect and we will be returning soon.
The old shower taps in our room had no labeling of hot and cold water but we eventually figured it out. I didn’t like that the buffet closed at 21h00. It felt like people who checked in late are not accommodated.
Two nights is never enough for Sani pass, trail walk was amazing.
Patio walkways on the suites section, cleaning can improve, it was a bit ditty, with visible blood stains on the staircase probably from the animals.
My experience at the premier resort, Sani Pass, has unfortunately been quite disappointing. On our first morning, we encountered a lack of water and also the shower head was broken which set a negative tone for our stay. Additionally, we faced issues with the entertainment options; the DStv and television remotes were either missing or malfunctioning, and we were provided with a broken remote as a replacement. Also the first resort we visited that didn't have a fridge which was very disappointing. Furthermore, the dining experience left much to be desired. The buffet dinner was limited in selection, and the quality of the food was subpar, with several dishes lacking freshness and flavor. Overall, these issues significantly detracted from what should have been an enjoyable getaway.
The location is beautiful. The staff was friendly and professional and the food was very good.
Greatly peaceful location to unwind
The cleaning of the rooms only happened after 11am though they did a great job too
Lovely location. Great food.
Serious SERIOUS mold problem at least in room 109 bathroom. Shower door also sticks and I nearly got stuck inside. Fix please.Batteries for TV remote didn’t work.. please check before handing to guests.Markng to waterfall from property needs improvement and advisory about footwear.
The ambience, the location, the view and exterior esthetics
The bathroom door doesn't close , there is no handle to shut it from the outside so basically you sit in your room looking at an open bathroom. Definitely not appealing or appropriate. There were numerous carpet burns and it looked not cleaned for some time . The bathroom shower was extremely dirty and old with grime and dirt on the tiles and door . No fridge in the room which means we had to continuously go down to the bar to buy drinks. The buffet menu for breakfast and dinner was very limited and not worth the price
Good facilities
Aircon broken and bathroom need maintenance
The location
The staff attitude was terrible . Food was awful. Noisy. Just in our bathroom we had a leaking shower which we reported on the first day. Never got attended to. Bathroom door couldn’t close. No plug in basin. No hot water in the basin unless the shower was run first. Had to ask numerous times for new soap. Place needs a refurb. It’s cold. All the staff huddle around the two tiny fires to try keep warm.Tried to play mini golf one day but the course hadn’t been swept in days.No management ever seen.
breakfast. good selection
Dinner. Pricey!!!!!!!!Why must a vegan pay full price when no meat fish or chicken are consumed?
It was tranquil and beautiful. Enjoyed my stay. Their entertainment, like the Easter egg hunt, movie nights, and karaoke nights, was good. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
The hiking trails to cross the river was jot good. There were no directions, and I had to back track. There was no option for an alnle carte supper. There was only a buffet. The food for the buffet was not too good There was ko bar fridge in the room.
The hotel and food were okay.
I wish my hotel room had a fridge. The staff at the restaurant left dirty dishes on our table for too long. The rooms made-up very late.
From our arrival, the staff were warm and welcoming and also very informative. Room was very comfortable A special mention must be made to the kitchen staff, the service was excellent, food delicious. They made my birthday so so special.
Everything was perfect ? we really enjoyed with my husband, the view, service the staff is always will to assist.
