The 4-star Mercure Brasilia Lider is in a privileged location in the Asa Norte district, 1.2 mi from downtown. Free WiFi is available in hotel rooms. - The entrance and room corridors are underwhelming so expectaions were low. Opening up the door to the room, it was really big, bright and modern with good views so a nice surprise. The location is good as many places are walkable (or easy with Uber) and there are a couple of malls within a 5min walk which have decent restaurants in them. The gym space is big and well equipped and there's a nice outdoor pool and seating area (but the weather was suitable to use them)
Cons -
- There's no offer in terms of food or drink other than breakfast which I didn't have so despite the hotel being large it didn't feel like there were any communal areas where you could sit / get a drink etc. Balcony had no furniture (but might be as it was rainy seasion and furniture-free balconies seem to feature a lot in this part of the world!).
