Kievits Kroon is set among landscaped-rose gardens and trees, on an upmarket country estate 12 mi from Pretoria Central. Otherwise known as the winelands in Gauteng, because of its Cape Dutch-style architecture. Each stylish room is air-conditioned, and includes a satellite TV and mini-bar. Guests receive toiletries, robes and slippers to use during their stay. Every private bathroom includes a shower, and some also have a bath. Granita restaurant and cellar at Kievits Kroon Gauteng Wine Estate, offers a fine-dining experience. Kingsley’s carvery serves a lavish breakfast buffet. Picnic’s set in the rose garden, or at the pool, can be arranged. The Winelands Spa is equipped with saunas and a heated-indoor pool. Guests can lounge at the outdoor-lap pool, or enjoy a game of lawn croquet and giant chess in the landscaped gardens. Free Wi-Fi and parking is available. Sandton City, famous for its prestigious shopping experience, is a 45-minute drive away. The O.R Tambo International airport is within 40 mi from the Country Estate.

- The conference was excellent. The food was good.
- Great breakfast. Dinner - the menu was predictable, and you can use herbs to season food, especially for diabetic people like me.
- Great getaway for a couple of nights. Granita restaurant was amazing.
Cons -
- The signage is appalling. I drove around in the rain for 20 minutes to find reception. NO signs from entrance. Drove around for 15 minutes and never found the breakfast restaurant in the rain. Found it this morning with no indication whatsoever of where to park. I was in no 77. Impossible to see room numbers from a car. I'm writing a review with 0 for maps, directions and signage. I've been in hospitality for 35 years. This won't do. Also, 4 star should have bath robes.
