Pros +
- Saka Manor is located in a beautiful area in Estonia with hiking trails close and beautiful open space and trees on the grounds. Your money helps to maintain the manor house and grounds
- Perfectly located for our bicycle trip. We were also able to get to the nice little spa right after checking in. The manor area was great for a little evening walk.
- Beautiful site and manor, good restaurant, cozy room
Cons -
- The room was basically a place to crash - not sure whether any rooms for stay in the manor house itself but our room was in an OK renovated old soviet military officers barracks on the grounds (the manor was a border guard station during soviet occupation). The room was functional and ok, albeit a little cramped. Overall, didn't feel like it was a good value for money. Additionally, got some ambigious info about a stairs that lead from the cliff edge to the beach on the grounds i.e., turned out the stairs were completely ruined by a falling tree and there was a clear no-go sign at the stairs while staff was ambigious about the danger when we asked beforehand)
- Breakfast could've been better. It was also a bit disappointing to find that all stairs to the beach seemed to be out of use.
- SPA pools a bit cold

Beautiful site and manor, good restaurant, cozy room
SPA pools a bit cold
Not much, to be honest... Read my comments below. However, I must say, the surroundings are undeniably picturesque and one can imagine that with some effort, the hotel could offer wonderful experiences.
Upon arrival at Saka Manor, we were greeted with an electricity outage, meaning no lights or water. We decided to take a 3-hour walk, hoping the issue would be resolved, but even after returning, we still had no water in our room for another 45 minutes. The staff seemed utterly confused, offering no compensation—not even a candle or a bottle of wine to make up for the inconvenience. Breakfast was a huge disappointment: bland, boring, and utterly lacking in character. To top it off, taking a shower flooded the entire bathroom floor.
Great spa. Close to / on the beach, large domain, good walks. The lady managing the treatments at the spa was the only friendly person (although she didn’t speak English she was very friendly and accommodating, with help of Google translate).
No fridge in the rooms, basic bathroom. Too few towels. Tennis court not operational.Staff is just not friendly, apart from the lady managing the spa (see above).
there's no AC in the rooms, so you must keep the windows open, which is sometimes a problem, in case a wedding happens on-prem.
Tolerable, but without a raisin. Good view to seaside.
Two terrible nights! The soundproofing in room is very poor. Practically- it does not exist. You can hear everything what happens in the corridor. Doors was slammed all the way. Almost didn't sleep. No conditioning. No even ventilation. Just through the window.Very slim shower cabin- seems far from industry standards and miles from best practice.Pretty ladies in restaurant, however only three main courses - something from chicken, burger :) and piece of beef fillet. I would say- very, very mediocre :(. No other restaurants/cafeterias nearby. As positive - view on seaside. Monument in the park.
It was a really magical experience. Saka Manor is located right at the seaside of the Northern coast of Estonia with a steep bank cliff. It's a nature getaway and the night we were there, an intense storm hit the Northern coast. The trees in the park were falling over, the house was shaking, we lost power and water... And it was just us visitors with the locals in candle light with a storm roaring outside. Despite the challenges, the staff was very friendly and had a very professional approach, providing water with buckets, free drinking water, candles etc.
The restaurant could be more cozy and warm, but other than that everything is okay.
It was lovely atmosphere and room was clean, warm. Breakfast was lovely, but I would like to have also option for cappuccino in such facility as manor.
I did not like the restaurant. It was our 10 year anniversary and we had to dine in a basement. It was so unexpected, given that the location was next to breathtaking seaside.
Liked that the hotel had it's own tennis courts
I did not like the breakfast that was advertised by Booking.com as "very good breakfast". It was really not a very good breakfast, but actually very average breakfast. The rooms in the SPA building were too small and did not have conditioning. The bed was horribly uncomfortable.
The place is magical, we liked every minute of it. The spa isn't crowded which is also nice, amazing breakfast, friendly stuff, cool picnic basket and amazing view from the watchtower
The restaurant closes too early for us, haven't found the waterfall, staying with a pet is 30 € per night which is crazy expensive
Room was comfortable and beautiful, bed was comfortable. Especially beautiful is park and view from The tower and bank to the sea. Breakfast was nice and had different options to eat.
Beautiful scenic landscape. Suitable for lovely walks though the park and down to the beach. The view from the tower over the golf of Finnland overed a unforgettable sunset.Outstanding restaurant!
The restaurant - it is very testy 10 from 10!!!, Breakfast menu - good and enought. Good SPA, not so much people, all plumbing works.
May be coffee can be better. Room - not so clean, old plumbing, few power outlets and they are only near the table.
The grounds of the hotel are amazing. I would choose it again just for the location and nature. Our room was standard. Nothing really exeptional there. Spa had windows almost every direction so pretty great.Breakfast selection - there was abundance of everything, really tasty and option to have breakfast in the garden (in summer) - amazing ☺️
The rooms were very clean and cozy. Everything was really nice.
It was really cold at the pool area and water was also quite cold.
a nicely restored old manour in east estonia with very friendly staff
blackout blinds / curtains would be useful
The woman at the reception desk was friendly and served us very adequate. The room was okay with sockets for our computer, phone and watch. We asked for a large bed and we got it. The breakfast was with a variety of food. The coffee was good. Large parking place for cars.
There was nothing to complain about.
The staff were excellent, room was clean and cosy, dinner in the restaurant was great (the desserts were amazing), breakfast was tasty and a walk on the grounds was enjoyable. View from the top of Meretorn is something, especially at sunset.
Beautiful well kept surroundings. The bathroom was newly renovated, nice decor and everything new and clean and working properly. The bed and bedding was comfortable. The sauna and pool area was small and somewhat outdated, but booking a time slot for your room allows some privacy. The breakfast restaurant has a nice terrace.
The overall interior design dates back to early 2000s. Most rooms are under the roof that gets hot in summer. Tiny windows, no AC, only a small fan. It gets a bit stuffy but not too bad.The reception area had an unpleasant smell. The bed for the 3rd person staying in the room (pre-booked) was not made. No bedding or towels for the 3rd person were in the room. Instead there was a blanket that someone had already used. Had (dog) hair on it. The sofa bed was like a Lego, very bad quality, worn out and uncomfortable to open. Chairs also worn out.The breakfast was nothing special and only filter coffee provided. The service personnel wasn’t taught how to handle complaints.
