Nybro Stora Hotellet

Breakfast was good, not excellent, and the variety was about average compared to other similarly-priced hotels in Sweden. My error, but I somehow missed at booking a few weeks earlier that the desk is unmanned on Sundays. Traveling around Sweden we were so busy with family & sightseeing on our own that sometimes I didn't know what day it was, which is proof of being relaxed on vacation. The door was locked on arrival, but looking at the reservation I saw that I should have phoned the prior day to arrange access. Called the number; the clerk/manager was very pleasant and arrived within 10 minutes to let us in and explain everything. We would stay there again when we return to Nybro as I have a relative nearby.

Great hotel with very friendly and attentive staff. Great value for money. Food was awesome and well priced. Very clean and modern rooms. We loved watching the ice hockey. Will definitely be back.

1. The hotel reception is only open during work hours and closed on sunday so you have to download an app to get access to the room. I spent two days trying to get access to the app, very frustrating.2. When I arrived, the room my app had given me was not ready, thus I had to call an emergency number to get someone to come to the hotel to help me. I had travelled since 3AM and just wanted to go to the room to rest.3. Unless you advice, noone cleans the room, empty garbage etc.4. The TV didn´t work at first, it was fixed the next day.5. The desk is a miniature one... not at all suitable for work.

Hotel overall and room were fine. Clean. Yet, we did not meet anyone at all. All was remote.

Amazing hotel, staff was very helpful and super friendly! We attended the IM in Kalmar and they opened the breakfast extra early for us athletes! We will come back next year!

Rooms were large.Bed comfortable.Chromecast to connect own streaming services to smart tv.

Booked 2 superior double rooms with balcony, but only one was with balcony.No-one at night to help at solve problems that arise , eg. when the air conditioning broke down. Restaurant staff were so nice to try help with solving problem, but lacked expertise.

The location is good at the centre of the so-called Glasriket, the Wonderland of Glass in Sweden's Småland province.

The property must have been renovated very recently. Excellent air conditioning and a descent restaurant. Not Michelin food, but the value for money were good.

If anything, the price was a bit high. Not horrible, but not a cheap hotel. it was however reflected in the quality of the facility and the Service. So not a big issue.

The room was perfect, newly renovated and with air conditioning, which helped with sleeping during the summer heatwave. Breakfast was good, served to the table to comply with Covid recommendations.
