Best Western Hotel Varnamo

Location, friendliness, cleanliness, inclusive tasty and diverse breakfasts, nice bathroom.

Reception staff were absent most of the time. No is on the premises to welcome us in or see us out.The room was not as nice as the one I had on a previous visit in February this year. The facilities were not well maintained -Tv ( remote control??) not working, standing light fittings loose, some room maintenance clearly lacking.

Room is big and clean. Staff is very nice

On the way to Stockholm for us. We asked for quiet rooms and they replied on the chat very kindly. The food in the brewery was good.

There was a ventilation hole in the floor which made a LOT of noise and I could hear my mother talking in the room next door through this hole?! How can you have a hole in the ground in a hotel room?? Not especially quiet and the tv was not even connected to the internet so it's dated. The keys for us were left in the middle of the reception on a table as no one was in the reception, so whoever could have grabbed them.

Clean and comfortable and a great location. Staff are very friendly.

The bar was shut at 8 pm, so we couldn’t get a drink. The scrambled egg at breakfast was far overcooked.

Location was excellent for an overnight stop between Stockholm and Copenhagen. The hotel is fairly basic but the breakfast was satis.

There were very few staff around! In the morning we just had to help ourselves to the breakfast which was plentiful and had lots of choice. We didn’t like that much of the hot food had been out for some time and was no longer really hot. There were no fresh poached egg on offer - which is my preferred type of eggs.

Our room was on the north end of the hotel, facing the street. The noise from the cars in the street below was unbelievable.

The bar and the brewery was nice

Room Was not Cleaned when we checked in. Bar close at 22:00… no staff on reception after 17:00. It’s then run by the bar that is independent from the hotel. Asked for new towels and was told I had to come back in morning when hotel staff was on. Will not Stay again

Super friendly and helpful staff. Great position. Exceptional breakfast buffet.

If I must be in some way negative, our shower decor was a little tired and the towels a little thin.

Location on the river. Bar when it was open. Breakfast had a reasonable selection.

Lack of information. Yes we was told there was an event but not that it was going on until 2am. We was not told that reception, restaurant and bar would be closed pretty much all day Sunday as well as no housekeeping. Monday restaurant had a limited buffet but by 7:15pm there was nothing left and once again everything closed at 7:30pm. Also not told about the building work going on. If the hotel was not full why allocate us rooms as close as possible to the noise of the event? Our friends decided to leave but as we had to catch up with family we had little choice but to stay. If the hotel had been clearer about the opening and closing times, the time for the event to be finished and also the lack of facilities then at least we could have considered our options before we had checked in.

Breakfast was awesome, the bed was very comfable and the room was good size.

The shower area was mouldy.

Warm welcome from the hotel host, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. The hotel was the venue for the event and provided a wonderful pasta meal on the evening before the event. Would definitely go again.

Very good breakfast. Hotel in center of Varnamo. Free parking.

Room was a strange configuration. 2 rooms with a hall between and few places to sit for a family of 4.

The restaurant was not available for a-la-carte dining. All was closing at 9 PM, so the only solution was to go outside or in the room.

Centrally located but quiet at night, it's just a few minutes walk to a number of restaurants. Very welcoming staff, spacious rooms.

If you arrive by car you better hit the road during daytime. The hotel does not offer private parking, the public lot at the rear is free for only 4 hours until 18:00. 24 hour free parking is available opposite the police station, 10 min. walking distanceThe restaurant only had a limited buffet in the evening but there are other options nearby

Good location.

Definitely need to be renovated. Dusts all over..Air plugs shout be provided as street noise can be heard clear and loud all night long.
