Pros +
- We had the two-bedroom apartment, The Farmouse, one block away. Adorable, and so comfortable for three adults to get some space, some kitchen, some sitting in the garden time. We'll be back.
- Nice and quiet room, in the center of Eksjö, close to the timberwood houses.
- The room was clean, big and renovated
Cons -
- We had a large room (for 4 persons) in a separate building - ca 30 meters from the main hotel building. There were no windows in the room (and no indication of that in the room description on booking.com). There was only a glass emergency exit. The ventilation was poor and this enhanced the claustrophobic feeling from this room in the basement (no windows to open and we would not feel comfortable sleeping with an emergency door open to the street). Also we could hear quite a lot through the ventilation of what was happening one floor above us, so soundproof - is not about that room. The staff gave us a discount after I complained about the room. I appreciated that, but still I think this room was not good for the hotel. Maybe they have better rooms in the main hotel buildingThe breakfast was not very impressive.
- Service was bad ? No house keeping. Had to ask for towels.
- no reception at later arriving hours. no sauna, when the reception is not occupied. kind of self checkin. and trays at the beautiful breakfast buffet with this wagons where you’re supposed to put the used ones. i get the idea, but it really takes charme from this nice hotel

nice hotel with ambience and good breakfast

I am very picky about coffee, and that was not the best, but otherwise breakfast was very nice.
I did not like the fact that I was not asked for the key to the room when I checked out. I should have remembered as well, of course, but I didn't, and so had to turn around about an hour into our trip home... Don't forget to leave your key!
Excellent location, the classical first house facing the town square opposite the church.Good breakfast and friendly staff. Charming rooms with high ceilings in a 1890s building, some public rooms with period furniture.
Wooden windows were in need of re-painting, some room doors needed some persuasion to close properly.Sauna / wellness area had apparently not been accessed in a longer time (stale basement smell)
nice staff. reasonable breakfast. awesome location
I booked a suite and did not receive a room cleaning over my three days despite requesting the placard on the door.
Central, traditional, friendly. A great stay for two nights.
Very thin walls! Doors to rooms slam shut which wakes you up as others arrive home late or leave early. Bathroom supplies not very generous. A really nice soap and shampoo would lift it a little.
The location is right on the main square
A lack of maintenance is evident almost everywhere. The washbasin in my room's bathroom was cracked, one lightbulb on the verge of giving up. The wood in the windows cracked. At €150 per night I can't say I got value for the.money.
Nice location. Good breakfast with several types of cheese etc. Nice breakfast restaurant. Manager was polite.
The room smelled of sewage. This was noted after the reception had closed. Thought about calling the emergency number, but did a survey myself. The problem was a nonexisting seal between the toilet and sewage pipe. When flushing the sink sewage noise could be heard from the base of the toilet indicating that no water lock was present and thus allow sewage gases to escape into the room. The ventilation did not work until the morning. Thus the room was very hot. A lot of noise from the city square below where workers where dismantling a temporary arena until late at night and starting again before 7 in the morning. Receptionist didn't feel very welcoming, i.e. no smiles and only answered on direct questions.
I like the history of the building and the location of it. The Staff was very helpfull and service minded.
I feel the rooms need a renovation or something. The rooms feels very worn. The walls was very damaged etc.
They have a great breakfast. The hotel was clean.
When we arrived to check in, the door was locked and nobody was working there! We had 3 rooms reserved. People were finally coming out and we grabbed the door and got in. We called the hotel and someone gave us the code to open a box. They told us which keys were for our rooms! The tiny old elevator didn’t have a door, so you could touch the walls as you went up. Also, it went to the wrong floors and one time just stopped in between floors!
I will not come her agin bad staff and bad behavior.
The staff lies a lot and changes their words every five minutes and if you ask to meet the manager you can't and they pay you more than what is required.
The pickles were very good. Everything else was average. Nothing that stood out as Wow!
Breakfast was so so. The soft boiled eggs were raw, the "Omelette" was not good. Why not use actual eggs and scramble or fry them!?
Very good location centrally in Eksjö and close to the old wooden town. Room was of good standard in the adjacent building. Breakfast was superb.
No AC, somewhat expensive.
Breakfast ok. Location very good.
Comfort in beds... felt old and worn out almost. Too hot in the room by night. No aircon and ventilation poor , if any.
Great location in the main square
Nice room
The shower was built wrong so all the water stayed on the floor instead of going down the drain.
Nice large room
