A nice small city hotel perfectly located in the center of town. Free parking! Great breakfast.

A cozy retreat with a heritage look and easy access to the lake side and city center, Amals Stadhotel was a perfect choice for our recent visit to Sweden near Lake Vänern. The hotel's friendly staff and delicious breakfast made our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend it!

The hotel is a bit old style, no aircondition in the room. Old beds.

The staff was attentive and kind very helpful. The breakfast was more than adequate! Very enjoyable.

Overall it's a charming hotel, and beautiful. The rooms are simple but comfortable and clean. Very classic and nice.

I was given a room in the front of the hotel facing out to the street. I'm sure this was well-intentioned, but for several hours there were youngsters driving back and forth on the main road just outside my window with very loud engines in their cars and making noise. It wasn't possible to have my window open for fresh air.

This was the absolute cutest hotel we’ve stayed in! A beautiful small town and historic hotel. Room is spacious, bed is comfy, staff are friendly, and breakfast is delicious! It gets hot at night but you can leave the window open without noise. Free parking as well.

Excellent staff in the on premise restaurant where we dined during our stay. Much more interesting food and wine than we expected (organic natural wine and interesting molluscs that we had not tried before).

They could switch from the chemically scented cleaning products to more old school varieties (like plain old linsåpa) to get a more inviting scent in the building in general.

This hotel is cold and poor, and there are no humanitarian supplies in the room. No tea, no coffee, no refrigerator. What is this miserable hotel?

The restaurant have an amazing beer IPA from Amal everyone must try. The staff were truly friendly. And the installation quite good.

The staff refused to issue an invoice before the day of departure. At the day of departure they had problems and could not issue a correct invoice. This is quite bad for business travels, causes problems at reporting the travel costs. It is not understandable at all as they insisted on payment at the day of arrival already. I was asked to pay immediately but had to wait for the last day for the invoice and then it was not possible.

Perfect localisation. Available parking space (no extra payment). Very friendly personnel. The hotel is located in historical building.

Classic “stadshotell” in the center of an old classic town in the Swedish heartland. Fine room, great breakfast, flamboyant ambiance.

Check-in is until 20:00 max, and this is not stated in the description. No 24h reception, front door opens with room key, but what happens when it gets demagnetized?Lack of flexibility from the hotel management.They couldn't give me an invoice because I had paid through booking.com, I never got this refusal from any hotel.

Excellent location and the hotel had an oldfashioned classic style I liked. Breakfast was good and the dinner served was good value for money.
