I was also aware of this before arrival, so no problem for me. Saw a couple of cobwebs with habitants in the room... The bed I found to be comfortable, but on the soft side. Very soft. As it is an old building some noice from the other rooms was to be expected, but I found that it got quiet as the evening got nearer. Had two good nights sleep.

The room (number 3) was lovely, nicer than on the pictures. The restaurant was nicely decorated with old advertising elements and the food was delicious. The staff was welcoming and professional.We stayed only one night and it was a great experience.
We would have liked a bit more indication on where we could park and charge our electric car.
The hotel is in a charming old wooden building along cobblestone streets in the old part of Mandal. The reception and dining areas retain the charm of a bygone era. We liked everything about the hotel and Mandal. Very cozy small city with a fabulous ocean beach within walking distance. The hotel room was a tad tiny but reasonably priced. The breakfast was good. The hotel host was friendly and told us where to park the car in a nearby, reasonably priced garage.
Only complaint is the artificial milk in the coffee machine tasted funky.
We weren't sure about what rooms had what beds, we booked the cheapest room, but asked for a double bed and not 2 separate. When arriving I asked again and we got a beautiful room, I think they got us a free upgrade, even though they didn't mention it. Nice bed, very comfy. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast included was great, enough choice and good coffee.We had dinner at the hotel as well. Good prices, quality food! Staff was nice and hard working.Also, the location is great, in the middle of town, and the hotel is super charming, warm and cozy!Definitely recommend it and we'll be back ?
