The rooms were lovey, really clean and modern

It was pretty cold when we arrived and we had to go down to find out how to work the AC. It got sorted tho

Really modern and clean but also a cosy country pub with friendly helpful staff. A nice change from big hotel chains but every time I’ve visited the rooms are immaculate and the food homemade

The location was ideal as our daughter lives in the area. Breakfast, as usual, was included in the price and was exceptional with very pleasant service. The gentleman that served us was very accommodating and remembered us from last time we stayed for which we thank him.

A fab stay. A great room, very nicely decorated and clean and a superb breakfast the following morning.

Location is excellent, the room was spotless comfortable and had everything we needed The bar is very nice and the evening dinner was excellent value and very nice Staff very friendly we booked without recommendation and would happily recommend this to anyone

The thermostat is very difficult to get working but this was a minor problem

The Canal Inn is a gem of a pub — welcoming atmosphere, great food, and beautiful surroundings. Everything from the service to the presentation of the dishes felt thoughtful. A perfect mix of cosy and quality. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the Peaks.

There wasn’t much else around within walking distance, but that’s part of the charm if you’re after peace and quiet

It was advertised as a microbrewery but didn’t have many beers on offer

Food was amazing,staff were brilliant and the room was very comfortable and the en-suite was very clean and modern, Parking was good, I've recommended to my friends and family

Location was 7 minutes from our relatives, The food including meals and breakfast was great. The room and facilities first class. The staff friendly and helpful

The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food and drink was amazing and the room was so big and comfortable!! We loved it!

The noise from the bar was noticeable but it couldn't be helped because our room was closest to the bar.

We have stayed here before and mostly everything was great, BUT it was very noisy, the music kept us awake for quite a long time and there was constant door banging through the evening and from very early in the morning.

The room clean, spacious and with Aircon.

The bar area for eating was sterile, not cosy and the menu was limited. Very disappointing.

The rooms were relatively new or seemed it. Bed was very comfy, level of cleanliness was brilliant. Was in a quiet location.

Bathroom floor could have been cleaner. Location was quiet but a bit strange - just sat right the middle of a housing estate.

Staff were polite and friendly, even went out of their way to give us an early check in. Room was large and airy with lots of natural light . The bed was huge and very comfortable. Woke up feeling refreshed, Will definitely be back when we're around this way
