Great building, lovely food, excellent value, and the staff were absolutely brilliant.
Property looks amazing, so impressive on the approach and immaculate inside.
Pillows weren’t great.
It was my partner’s birthday. Staff went out of their way to make the experience special for us. Food was exceptional and excellent value for money, including the sandwich platter provided for us in the evening.
The drive in, I’m afraid …. Improving the surface would be a huge job but may become necessary….But the approach to the house itself is stunning, and everything else about the stay was perfect.
Incredible place. Wonderful staff. But the strangest approach when driving (thought I'd taken a track by mistake!)From the glass of bubbly on arrival to all the interactions with the staff - the experience was truly wonderful.
The track! But it was an adventure (especially the stone tunnel) and stunning when you got sight of the building. Difficult to think of a single thing that could be improved.
Warm atmosphere / great team / phantastic restaurant
Fabulous hotel in a stunning location. Rooms were very comfy. Staff were all very accommodating & you were made to feel special
The location is amazing. The building is beautiful and the historical aspects of the house are very interesting.
The room was very small and the windows were frosted. The window would only open a few inches and the view was over the kitchen and the rubbish bins. The extractor from the kitchen was both noisy and smelly which was unpleasant, We had expected to eat dinner in 'Hills Kitchen' the more relaxed of the restaurants but were told that the menu is unavailable although that is not the information on the website. Had we been staying any longer we would have refused to stay in that room. I find it difficult to believe that it would cost almost £200 to stay in such a small room without a view particularly as we were told the next morning that the hotel was not busy. Surely this room should be a last resort and at a discount price.
Beautiful property and grounds. The staff without exception were amazing. Excellent friendly service. We had dinner in the evening and both the food and service were exceptional
We found the bedroom was very warm but a free standing fan was provided. At home we have super king beds and found the standard double very small. We would definitely consider upgrading in the future
Staff were excellent, venue was incredible, food was on point. Cost was very reasonable.
Not enough time to spend longer. We will be back.
Beautiful heritage building and magnificent grounds that offers indulgence in quality
No air conditioning
The building and grounds are stunning. A very relaxing stay. We'll be back.
My tofu dish was disappointing as bland but all other food eaten was delicious
Spectacular building. Great staff and amazing food
Quite away from nearest town
Fantastic location with amazing views.Really attentive and friendly staff throughout our short stay and the restaurant was top notch fine dining at its best.....one of the best meals we've had for a long time, first class service all round.
Absolutely no issues with any aspect of our stay at all, everything that we expected was fulfilled.Very friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect.
An exceptional property. Lot’s of history and interesting grounds. Good food. Staff were helpful and attentive
Nothing to report here
Beautiful surroundings with a very relaxing atmosphere. Lovely interior and homely bedroom. Immaculate bathroom which felt like it was very new. Top-notch food.
Seems to be mainly a wedding venue so wouldn’t want to go when there is a wedding on (unless I was a guest obviously!).
Loved the hall, the welcome fizz, one to one chat on arrival, breakfast was great, staff were excellent.
Stay was fabulous, garden and grounds lovely, fabulous hotel, food lovely and also breakfast excellent and great staff
Tv signals poor in room.
Character property with history, superb grounds, and all very well maintained. Secure parking. Stunning dining rooms and lounges.
Pasta undercooked. Duvet far too thick/warm so a terrible night's sleep. Bed only 5 foot wide.
