Pros +
- Friendly helpful staff. Excellent food and nice choices. Nice spacious room, good range of tea and coffee in the room also a fridge . Parking just across the road.
- Nice room, lovely comfy bed
- The location was perfect and the atmosphere very welcoming
Cons -
- Very old building, quite noisy
- The bed was uncomfortable, the room was dark and the shower attachment gave little pressure.
- After the pub closed the staff were downstairs talking until around 1am and sometimes we could hear every word. Didn’t particularly bother us because we were watching a film but if I was trying to get off to sleep I wouldn’t have been happy.

Breakfast, location, view
Broken blind in room which meant no privacy as no curtains eitherLack of shower gel... there was only conditioner and body lotion

Everything was fabulous room and breakfast were so lovely we would highly recommend
The only minor thing was the quilt could have been thicker in our room it was cold but we diddnt have the heating on through the night .. just a minor thing !
Room was clean
Breakfast : Only available after 9am. I had to leave before then. Was offered a continental breakfast to take to the room. Granola and Yogurt. That was it. Staff : Incompetent. Main meal was wrong, I was told that the chef has cooked it now. Asked for an invoice for room the evening before as was told it would be emailed in the morning. Left a note in the room and at reception when I left asking for a invoice and had nothing. Called serval times and promised it would sorted. Emailed direct no response. Emailed via booking.com and no responseSpecial Request : Iron. Make it on booking and asked when there and told "I dunno, I just work in bar". I asked for her to find out and was told to busy and to ask someone else. Then watched her looking at TikTok on her phone
Beautiful clean room, well appointed and quiet. Fabulous breakfast.
Lovely room and bathroom very cleanFriendly professional staffExcellent Breakfast
No complaints
Staff and breakfast were both excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.
WiFi was non existent in our room even though we were given 3 alternative networks to join. Stair carpet leading to rooms was stained in many places and needed a thorough cleaning. Fixtures in bathroom needed some attention. Toilet roll holder not securely fixed to wall. Hand towel fixture needed Allen key to secure it. Room was extremely hot even with tower fan in use.
The property was quite old, the slopping floor takes a bit of getting use to, diffuser smelt lovely
The hall carpet that runs along the three rooms could do with a good clean as it was stained quite badly, shame that the food finished at 6 but it was a Sunday
Location, staff and food were excellent
Staff were lovely, friendly, helpful excellent food perfect location to explore
