Pros +
- Lovely room with nice views over the garden. Good choice for breakfast.
- Lovely atmosphere. Nice breakfast. Very relaxing.
- Very clean modern easy to get around
Cons -
- Very long way from room to restaurant and Spa.
- Nothing everything was nice. Would be nice if had 2 sizes in the slippers.
- The Rose Quartz Facial was a huge disappointment. The beautician was going through the motions without any care I felt. No pressure even though I asked and wrote it on the form before the treatment. In my opinion it was a complete waste of £109.

I was very impressed with lunch and dinner. Both were delicious and fresh. The staff in the restaurant and bar area were excellent. Particularly Mandy and Luke.

Food was excellent. Ambience was pleasant
Lack of grab rails in the shower. The room was a long way from the spa. During our final 30 minutes 2 members of staff were chatting loudly outside our door clearly impatient for us to leave.
The spa was excellent the treatment was excellent the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were courteous.
Only problem was the food in the evening restaurant was very poor the pork chop I ordered was very tough and the sauce was almost inedible I did mention this to the waitress and she apologised but they did not offer me anything else.
Beautiful grounds, confi rooms and good restaurant. The massage and relaxing area was really nice.
For a spa hotel I was expecting the pool to be bigger, to have more lounge beds (there were not enough lounge beds considering the hotel's capacity) and some spa background music. Also, to get a drink you have to get out of the swimming area and go to the bar/restaurant which was considerably colder.
We have stayed three times now and always enjoy our stayThe staff give exceptional service The hotel and spa are spotlessly clean My favourite part of my visit was the grounds. Stunning views
There was nothing negative to say
Lovely grounds and fab Spa
I had booked for dinner reservation and opted for the 3 course menu, however on arrival at dinner we were told this wasn’t booked. Dissapointing
Breakfast was good, nice selection.
Couldn’t get a bed/seat around the pool to begin with.
Liked Spa, gym, good location - easy drive to the beach , nice modern hotel, nice hotel grounds, good vibe
Rm82. Shower dripped (sometimes), mirror too far from plug for hairdryer, and no plug socket on left side of bed. I think breakfast could be better with little effort. Better ingredients & less queuing. Spa was a little crowded
The location and the rooms
How over priced it was and how over packed the facilities were.
It was spacious, clean , comfortable and well maintained!
It’s very relaxing we have been here many times and always feels so relaxing, staff are nice and grounds are lovely
Only thing I can pick on is for what you pay they need to update the spa a bit it’s bit standard and inhalation room wasn’t working, paint peeling in places just needs a little update
Great place to stay for a few days and enjoy spa time. Friendly staff, especially during the dinners in the restaurant. Lovely territory to have peaceful walks and location is close to the sea.
Sometimes people in the corridor were loud, even though signs in the corridors were asking to stay quiet. Not all spa sections are functional.
Lovely ambience, on beautiful grounds, lovely Christmas decos
The parking. It was raining and having to trek over with my things. However, I get that having the parking further away makes it feel like a retreat. The tap in the bathroom sink was so frustratingly close to the surface that water would go everywhere. The shower not having an option for a hose thing.
The grounds.
Very obscure layout. And in desperate need of an upgrade on facilities. Plus room wasn't what I though nor expected. But overall was an experience.

I was given a room in the 'Mulberry Block', (second floor), which is quite a long way from Reception, and accessed via a very cold glass corridor. I was staying one night due to work and arrived after a long journey and work appt. When I went to use the bathroom wash basin to wash my hands, the plug would not release afterwards to enable the dirty water to be emptied from the basin (see pic). The plug was old and faulty. It was about 9pm, so I used the room phone to call reception, as it indicates that guests can contact reception if there are any issues, for resolving. The phone rang but no-one answered it and instead, I was connected to a pre-recording on an ansamachine, that said, leave a message and we will get back to you. So I left a message with name, room and reported the fault and asked if someone could get in touch to fix it, given that I would need to use it again that evening. After about an hour, and not having received a call back, I decided to call again - there was no response again, and I didn't bother to leave another message. This meant that I did not have access to a functioning working bathroom basin for my night's stay. In the morning, before I checked out, I reported it again at reception and spoke with the 'Guest Manager' and subsequently sent a complaint in by email. The response from the guest services manager has been entirely dissatisfactory - answering calls from staying guests at reception and listening to voicemail messages from staying guests is not considered important or a priority. I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel because you could pay £185 for a night and not have properly functioning bathroom facilities. I think that having a working bathroom basin is quite basic really and it is extremely poor to stay and not have anyone taking telephone calls on reception or listening to messages, to be able to respond in a timely manner, where facilities are sub-standard. Stay elsewhere.
Dinner and Breakfast were very nice. The room was very comfortable. The Spa facilities were very nice, but very crowded
I booked a massage for Sat at 2pm. However, when we checked in it had been moved to Sunday at 1pm.This was not satisfactory as we would've checked out before my massage.I complained to the resort and they were going to investigate
All facilities were cold including jacuzzi. Forget the 90s decor and rainbow themed bingo carpet.Awful place only god knows how they get away with it. I have a word that starts with s and ends with t that should replace the word life on "life" house... ended up paying and visiting Colchester spa .. 900 pounds i paid for 2 nights with half board. Food terrible
