- I phoned the hotel to let them know I would be checking in late due to work and the chap I spoke with was very helpful and understanding, I assumed it would be too late for a meal but the lady at reception said they could arrange food... Bonus !The room was basic but clean and warm, breakfast was good.A nice place to stay in my opinion. I stay in hotels a lot for work and don't normally post reviews but felt this place is getting some uncalled for low reviews, if you want a brand new premier inn type hotel.. book one !
- it is simple, clean and little pub-hotel, nice and helpful and stuff with good food.
- Fantastic little family hotel. Owner was very welcoming and friendly.
Cons -
- nothing to moan about
- There was no sign of any staff apart from the owner. We asked where the bar was and he said there was no bar and you could get drinks at dinner. Why is there a bar shown on the images. There was no atmosphere in the place and we saw no other guests. Despite paying our stay in advance we decided to leave and get alternative accommodation as it was that bad. Seems like a fairy tail the other reviews on the page. We have since spoken to other people about the place and they have said that it is not a hotel but it is the owners own residence.
- All Ok

Fantastic little family hotel. Owner was very welcoming and friendly.
There was nothing to like. The place was so bad we didn't stay. It looked busy by the car park but it turned out the owner collects cars and they were all his.

Late check in on a way to Campbeltown, clean, car park
All Ok
Cheeky floors Hot water to have bath like warm
The bed was so noisy even slightest move turning round was so loud and then floor was so creaky noisy aswel not good
Room was nice and spacious with a nice stand alone bath which thought was nice , I ate in the hotel and thought it was very reasonably priced and was delicious
Friendly owner. Good place to stay for one or two nights to enjoy some walks.
Missing infrastructure. Bar was closed (however, we got a drink, when we found the owner). The „village“ itself has nothing to offer.
Good breakfast in a comfortable room
Room needs redecoration
Could not fault the welcome and hospitality of the manager. Nice food in the evening.
Unfortunately the bed was very small and crunchy springs. Shower was a trickle. Could tell the place needs a bit of TLC. We decided to check out after one night and head back homewards as we didn't get much sleep the night we stayed
Arrived late but the owner opened up the restaurant especially so that I could get a meal.
Location ideal for.us, breakfast and dinners amazing. Staff couldnt do any more for you. Highly recommend
We were looking for an overnight stay on our way to another destination, and we were searching very late. This hotel happened to be along our route and had availability. The staff and owner were friendly.
The hotel shows its age, and a renovation would greatly enhance the comfort it offers to guests. Additionally, serving powdered eggs for breakfast doesn't improve the experience, especially considering the outdated amenities.
Very comfortable beds, clean bedding and towels. Immaculately clean bathroom.Chatty and helpful young lady waiting on in restaurant. Food good and selection of vegetarian options. We enjoyed a game of pool.
Clean, comfortable room. Staff very friendly. Young lady in bar / restaurant very personable and attentive.
Breakfast & location good
Hotel is very tired looking & needs a refurb
Had a choice of breakfast. Juice, toaster, yoghurt, fruit.
Everything was good
Staff were extremely pleasant room was very comfortable food lovely really enjoyed our stay.
Evening meal very nice. Polite engaging. Hotel and staff had character in abundance. Peter was very helpful and cordial
The television I couldn't work it properly
Although we were only staying overnight our stay was ideally situated for our journey home the following day. Breakfast was perfect and quick and there was a full variety available for us. Both Rhiannon, who met us when we arrived, and Pete, the owner, made our short stay very welcoming.
Absolutely fine
