Very dog friendly. Efficient and helpful staff. Great food, excellent breakfast.
Nothing. All good.
Lovely pub/hotel, friendly staff, great food and a very nice pint of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord, very convenient for a wedding at nearby Newton Hall and the beautiful Northumberland coast.
Room a little dated but had everything needed. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
Very clean and welcoming!Great location and a short distance from the wedding venue, we were attending!
Only two negatives! All rooms upstairs, no lift!Bathroom floor very noisy in room 8!
Always a great stay at the Dunstanburgh, at the heart of the village. Super comfy beds, lovely breakfast and good dinner menu. Range of beers in the bar and friendly staff all round.
Good food, generous portion. Good location for coastal walks and bird watching. Shop in the village
Good fish but less choice for vegetarians
Lovely hotel in a beautiful village Immaculately clean Good home cooked food All staff (bar staff, housekeepers, reception) very friendly and welcoming
Can’t think of anything l didn’t like
We did eat an evening meal in the bar - it was good, once we waited for a while to be served.
Only one chair in the superior twin room which was shabby and stained as was the carpet. The beds squeaked at almost every turn, the bedding and towels were good and clean. The bathroom floor had a terrible squeak that woke anyone sleeping when the other person used it in the night. There was no usable wi-fi until we were allowed to access the staff secure wi-fi. The television did not work other than for a few minutes late at night. I would not describe this room as "superior".
I loved the warm Christmassy atmosphere of the hotel and the food (I had dinner on two nights and one breakfast) was absolutely delicious. It was wonderful to sit by the fire in the bar. My room was cosy and the bed was super-comfy. Everyone was so friendly and my cleaner gave me wonderful advice for my visit to Alnwick. There was plenty of tea/coffee supplies in my room with delicious locally-made biscuits. The hotel was extremely good value for three nights. Parking was easy outside the hotel or around the side on the road. Just near the hotel is a wonderful gift shop and delicatessen.
I couldn't get the shower to run really hot. There was no long mirror (I was going to a wedding!) but the cleaner took me to an empty room where there was one!
Great location, nice room and the staff were lovely.
Check in was quick and well prepared. The room was clean and fresh, and warm, it was mid January so warmth is important. We ate dinner in the restaurant, no pre booking for a table required, it appeared that the hotel always accommodates guests wanting to eat in the restaurant. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced, around £60 for 2 people having starters and mains, both courses were generous portions.A comfortable base, well positioned for exploring the Northumberland coast, definitely one to return to.
Our stay was too short and on reflection we should have based ourselves there for the duration of the weekend trip.
Very friendly, great location and very functional . Great breakfast and great bar /restaurant.
Loved the location. Very very clean presentable rooms .Cosy and warm. Food was amazing and fairly priced.
Very clean, peaceful, with lovely staff, food was very good
Welcoming, cosy and homely little hotel. Friendly staff. Family feel with up to date decor and near some of the most beautiful and iconic Northumbrian beaches and scenery. Perfect.
Very warm room .
Very comfortable bed and good bed linen. Powerful shower. Good sized room. Very clean. Great on-site bar & restaurant. Dining room was lovely with friendly attentive staff. Decent choice for cooked breakfast offerings and yes, the most delicious sticky toffee pudding!
Not a negative but for some rooms it’s up stairs, through doors, along corridors but to be expected in older properties. If you think ahead you could ask for a closer room.
Comfortable bed and large room with sofa.Great evening meal-seabass.Welcoming and friendly staff.
Smart TV didn't work.
Lovely hotel in a great location. Very nice staff. Lovely evening meal and good breakfast. Was given a free upgrade which was very nice!
