Pros +
- The service that I received from this resort was impeccable from the first phone call to each and every staff member we met during our stay. Great food and amazing cocktail menu including excellent mocktails. Beautiful surroundings. The health and fitness suite has everything that you'd need.
- The room was spacious and the bed comfy. The facilities were great and the food very tasty.
- The room we stayed in with very clean, had everything we needed. Beds were comfy, shower could have possibly done with a bit more power but end of the day, it did the job.The gardens were lovely. Staff were accommodating and friendly. We had some food from the bar menu and it was a little expensive at 3 dishes for £18. We only had chips, chicken wings and salt and pepper calamari. The quiz that was held was good, hosted by Liam. He made it fun. Was a shame more people didn't join in!
Cons -
- It isn't a deal breaker but, as more and more of the resort is refurbished to a high standard those parts awaiting a 'glow up' stand out more. Everywhere is still spotless and amazingly comfortable but it's worth being prepared for the comparison.
- There was quite a lot of mould in the bathroom..
- The pool and changing rooms need a refurb. The changing rooms did not go with the the style of the venue. Felt like we were in a public swimming pool. Doors missing off the lockers, not enough locker keys in the women's. There was a smell as well. The jacuzzi, steam room & sauna were great but the pool was quite cold and not really anything special.

Rooms were comfortable and clean with nice outlook. Lovely gardens and great range of activities, some of which were free. Perfect for families wanting to try different activities
Some activities seemed pricy ( eg £ 20 each for archery)
Very helpful staff, especially at breakfast, nice to have a couple of lounges to sit in although the log fires weren't lit
The room was ok, nice new bathroom, but the bedroom was on the small side, only 1 bedside cabinet, not great.Cooked breakfast as Luke warm, get the feeling bacon etc make a couple of hours before and put under a hot lamp, so really dry
Well presented and clean and comfortable
Excellent breakfast. Large room. Views were gorgeous. Nice location. My partner had a very good massage and the masseuse was really lovely.
Sadly two singles pushed together with no matress topper= very uncomfortable sleep. Breakfast was impossible to find, no signage of info, staff merely said 'manor house'..... No staff could be found so walked around resort for 20 minutes until we accosted a cleaner to help us. Hot tub out of order. Slightly dingy changing rooms. Sofa in room has seen better days.
The room, the swimming and spa facilities and the breakfast,. The staff were very helpful.
It was very dark finding our way from the pool and to the bar/restaurant. Maybe some extra lighting would be helpful in these areas
Breakfast was good, dinner (Steak and Prawn Stir-fry) was excellent, staff were pleasant
The rooms were basic, and the spa facilities were very disappointing
Location The breakfast was greatNice helpful staff
The Sunday lunch had great ingredients but was cold. The pool needs updating facilities not working grubby changing rooms - out of date - don’t think spaThe rooms need updating.
Staff were fantastic lovely breakfast
Needs a lot of maintenance shower and heating not working
Clean and welcoming to both my dog and noisy baby! Excellent food in the cellars restaurant, great wine. Lovely grounds.
I felt the entertainment on the tv could have behyer options -Netflix, prime etc. only had YouTube
Everything needed on site. Decent restaurant, gym and pool
Clean and spacious beautiful surroundings
Nothing to report
Staff were welcoming. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. A good breakfast Pool and facilities were very nice. Only stayed the one night so wasn't able to fully use everything on offer
The shower didn't have much pressure
Amazing views
Our room was very tied stains on carpet ripped wall paper black mould around the bathroom windows and the bath, the extractor from the restaurant was rite outside the bathroom window and was very noisy until 10 pm and then came back on around 6am. We complained and was moved for the second night but into a lower grade room than we had paid for. We booked a table in the restaurant for my birthday and the menu was very poor nothing like what was on the website. All in all a very disappointing birthday experience.
Beautiful location, staff were very friendly, good was great and facilities were clean.
The half piece of black pudding on the breakfast didn't make sense. In the room the curtains were a bit shabby and the carpets a bit stained but apart from that it was very clean and well looked after. Can't complain about much, these was the only negatives.
Lovely location staff in restaurant Lovely. Food good but not alot of choice
Room very small
The room was airy, spacious and warm, with lovely views of the grounds. Our tea/coffee etc was replenished daily, the bed was clean and comfotable, and the whole place was peaceful.
The room was tired, needed a lick of paint, some new blinds, a carpet clean. The water pressure in the bathroom was laughable; little chance of washing the shampoo out of my hair! The restaurant was terribly poor value, and the food bang average.
The staff were all very welcoming, the bar and restaurant were brilliant the food was amazing, parking was right outside the building were the room was. Also they had happy hour between 5-6pm bonus.
The room didn’t look the same as the picture, I understand there may always be slight differences and variations but I felt it was up to what I saw advertised. There was black mould around the windows and the bath/shower screen was partially black in the corner the shower was okay once it warmed up but not very powerful.
