This was our first stay at "Brick Kilns" and we liked everything about it. Room was very comfy and had all the facilities we needed. We had pre-booked for evening meal and were very pleased with the food. My wife had Steak & Ale pie and I had Smoked Haddock. Main courses were really good and we had a (stunningly tasty) lemon cheesecake to follow. Very nice food all round and a super selection of beers, cider, lagers and spirits etc. to compliment the food. The Pub Bar and / Restaurant are traditional and very tastefully decorated. We felt very at home in every respect. Good breakfasts in conservatory area set us up nicely each day. Car park is large and easily accessible from the cross-roads where it;s situated, but as as motorcyclists, they allowed us to use their own separate gated space at the rear of the pub, which we found very beneficial. The location gave us very quick and easy access to the outer Norwich ring roads and the Pub itself is un-missable due to its unique colour (see the photos). At no point did we have to sit in heavy traffic when coming to and going from it. This pub has had the same owners for many, many years and that in our view says they are doing it right and know their craft. That is reflected also in the staff, all of whom were so friendly, polite and helpful. A traditional pub with everything we needed, "Brick Kilns" gets a "10" from us and we won't hesitate to stay again. Well done to Mandy and the team there. See you again.
Very sad about the property I’ve staid in a lot of places allOver the country and world. But there were some safety aspects that weren’t ok as I was staying in there with my 9 year old son. Breakfast was good as it was included but when asking why there was no black pudding the lady on the last day said it wasn’t included In the breakfast included menu yet everything else was ? On the last day we also sat down at 9.30 am only people staying there. Three lady’s came I for breakfast ten minutes after us yet they got there breakfast before us and we had to wait an extra ten minutes again with a child shouldn’t happen. Tv didn’t work concerning damp on the wall where tv was . No windows opened in an event of a fire in An old property. Nothing updated since covid for the info in rooms so WIFI wasn’t up to date. Bath leaked and we didn’t know so my son slipped in the bathroom key was broken in window lock and came of in my hand seems this has been like this for some time
Excellent room in a traditional English pub. Great food too with generous portions. Lovely staff and a good selection of ales and beers.
Nothing. Very happy with everything I found there.
Very nice place but need to up grade mattress as very uncomfortable.Food excellent & breakfast superb.
Overall a most pleasurable stay, the breakfast is absolutely superb, I has a full English and it filled me up for the day. The evening meals are of equal quality and there is a good choice of various dishes. Staff are very friendly and are more than happy to help out with any queries you may have. The room was very comfortable and there was an large range of different teas and coffees on the refreshment tray in the room. Also the local clientele are very sociable so there is always someone to talk to if you are on your own.
The bathroom was not en-suite and I had to leave my room every time I wanted to shower etc, which was not ideal. I admit that no one else could use it as I had the key but it was not what I expected and the only criticism I have of the Brick Kilns.Get an ensuite sorted for rooom 2.
Friendly place especially kat the lady behind the bar who advised us where to visit locally, great food
Good location for us visiting family. Very friendly staff, comfortable and clean room. Excellent breakfast
Personally we found the noise of the road disturbed our sleep.
Lovely historic place, nice staff, great food , would definitely go back
Breakfast very good
Location out of Norwich centre and property did not respond when I asked about busesRooms need up dating-new mattress would be advisable and new ensuite bin in double room. The property is also advertised as a pub but it is only limited as a pub, not open late and really just an eating venue, which should be made clear
Excellent traditional pub B&B. Great accommodation, really good fresh cooked meals and the staff are lovely. Definitely going back for a return visit.
Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, superb breakfast, excellent value for money.
I was the only resident on this occasion, so was completely alone in the building at night. A little unnerving, although an emergency number was supplied.
A delightful pub B and B with clean, modern fitted out room and an excellent breakfast. Staff were friendly and efficient.
No complaints.
I personally enjoyed the property being slightly away from the busy city of Norwich. It's quiet and secluded, and it was perfect for us. Coming from busy London, it's lovely being tucked away from most things. It's around a 20-minute bus ride to get into the city. The staff were fantastic and I mean every single one of them. We met the owner, too, who was most gracious in showing us around and giving the history of the building. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a quiet break
Convenient. Excellent piping hot and generous breakfast. All accommodation as stated on the website.
Charming accommodation close to Norwich and the Broads. Friendly and helpful staff created a welcoming atmosphere.
Staff are very helpful and friendly Food was excellent
Service was very good and food was excellent good quality at a reasonable price also close to city and coast
