Lovely apartment. Well decorated and equipped. Quiet area

Quite a few stairs which were not made obvious prior to booking. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues

    10DavidPosted on: 7-24-2025

Perfect location, plenty of space and pristinely kept campsite.

The cottage was beautiful and equipped with everything needed for great stay. All the staff were lovely and the site is immaculate. Its a pretty special place.

Absolutely stunning property and grounds. Large rooms, comfortable beds, huge fridge, everything you need. Exceptionally good communication and assistance from management/owners, I couldn’t fault a thing.

It was perfect - thank you

Very well equipped apartments in a nice quiet location near Ullswater lake, staff was very helpful when I needed to amend my booking beforehand.

Could have been given more than one toiler paper roll for a 3 night stay, other than that great

    9SaraPosted on: 6-23-2025

it was very clean in a good location with everything that we need to have a lovely time.

times for check in and check out check in only 30m 9:00 to 9:30am check out only 1h from 4pm to 5pm. I think should be a bit more flexible times.

Beautifully maintained mansion house with modern fixtures and fittings in the apartment. Overlooking the garden at the back and a lovely view of Ullswater lake and the surrounding hills

    Nothing to dislike

    8RPosted on: 6-3-2025

The views, the quietness, the path into Pooley Bridge, the attentive lambs under the oak tree. The apartment feel whilst in a bigger, very well kept estate.

No food available on site was a little disappointing but understandable. Not enough loo roll : - 0 The mirror in the bedroom being right behing the (ever slamming,) chained firedoor.

The place was breath taken. The pod was even better than expected, you have all sorts of crockery to cook and was spotless. The walk to Pooley bridge worth it. And the nature outstanding The reception has a little shop with some nice locally produced products. They left a little fresh milk bottle, coffee and tea and biscuits upon arrival, very nice extra! The glamping area is beautiful looked after.

They only provide with one toilet roll, I think one more could’ve been useful as we stayed 4 nights.

Great location, spotlessly clean , good facilities, bar next door

    All good

    9JohnPosted on: 4-21-2025

Accommodation spotlessly clean and comfortable, great location for exploring the Lakes. Would definitely stay again.

    9StevePosted on: 4-1-2025

Lovely view across Ullswater ( not all rooms though) and just 20min gentle walk to Pooley Bridge.

All doors close after passing through them … bit of a pain if you’re carrying stuff from room to room!

Relaxing stay, breathtaking views of the lake and very accessible to Ullswater and its surroundings

    Good location for Pooley Bridge.

Pods are caravan quality and seriously overpriced compared to apartments (which are, admittedly, very nice), presumably because they theoretically sleep 6. They’d have to be a family and not be shy, it’s basically sharing a wooden tent in privacy level.Felt a bit aggrieved that we were expected to strip all the beds after paying so much for so little. Also, the (cheaper priced, did I mention that?

    10MandiPosted on: 11-12-2024

Beautiful spacious apartment with views over the lake, finished to a very high standard and very well equipped for self catering.
