we arrived to find the accommodation locked up and empty. Neighbours said they had just upped and left. our money was taken from our bank account and we expect a full refund. disgusted that we had to drive 100 miles home.
Didnt get a chance to look all locked up.
So poor we left.
Was told that Wi-Fi was in all areas, not so, only available in the bar area. We were expecting breakfast, as per my booking. On arrival, I was told they no longer do breakfast. I booked a double room and, on arrival, was told they only had a twin room available. I went to the room and then decided to question this, so I went back down to the receptionist, and they miraculously gave us a double room. The evening meals were cold and not of a good standard. We were booked for two nights but decided not to stay a second, so left.
The pub and food were great.
No breakfast, despite paying in advance for this. They did credit us 20 toward our dinner.
Staff was apporchable
My booking was with breakfast went down in the morning it was all locked up with no one in sight . Rooms where standard bathrooms need updating
location and member of staff who was lovely
very noisy the room was in need of a clean and tlc light bulbs gone in room cobwebs in room hall leading to room filthy carpet in room ripped head board of bed just resting against wall I could go on photos very deceiving
lovely location
said on Booking.com a breakfast was included in the room rate. I asked what time breakfast was served and was told there was no breakfast.
N/c
On arrival, they told us that they were no longer providing breakfasts when that was meant to be provided. There was meant to be WiFi in all areas, that was not the case, only available in the bar.Evening meal was cold so returned it.Was booked for two nights but decided to stay only one.
lovely location
a little bit tired but adequate, there was a problem with the kitchen in that most of the menu was unavailable - what we chose was very poor
Location
The landlady was very rude we go every year but never again. I asked if we could have a meal on a Sunday and was told I could do I booked a table. I also checked on arrival with the manageress who was nice. When the time came for dinner I asked the landlady for a menu and she just pointed to the snack menu that was on the bar without saying anything. I told her that this was not the full menu and she replied thats all the chef is doing. We went to the local shop to get a sandwich and didnt even have breakfast that was included. So rude. Dont go there.
I paid for breakfasts but apparently should have been told that breakfasts were currently not available! Booking website said that it was included and I had to walk nearly two miles to eat not good on an empty stomach!?
A cooked breakfast obviously
Breakfast was fine for weekend but none provided on the Monday morning. A refund on the room price was provided once this was pointed out. Location ideal for the event we attended.
Booking.com failed to advise property that we were arriving although money was taken in advance. Had to wait while a room was made ready, but it was not the room we booked. Hosts gave us a drink on the house for inconveience. No breakfast on Monday morning but this was only advised on the sunday not when booked. Room was tired and shower could do with updating, and walls repainted.
The vibe of the place. Our room had direct access to the garden where we could let our dogs out. The room size was decent, the bed was super comfy and breakfast was homemade and exceptional.
Nothing I could think of
Breakfast good, a few different options, lots to do in the area, very welcoming for dogs.
Shower could of done with a makeover.
Very friendly welcome, excellent breakfast and brilliant location.
Friendly staff, pleasant ambiance. Good food
Room felt a bit damp, with some mould around bottom of the walls.
Location great for all places we visited , nice breakfast and great beers
Room just needed a freshen up
Breakfast was included in my stay, and property offers breakfast for meat eaters as well as for vegetarians & vegans and also porridge which was yummy :) Also, they have a very good beer :)
The only thing that was annoying me was the unexpected noise when flashing down the toilet :(
