    Pros +

    • Beautiful surroundings and such a lovely team. Breakfast and dinner at the pub was absolutely incredible, so glad we booked 2 nights. The perfect dog friendly escape.
    • Absolutely loved everything about the property. It was immaculate, loved that there was a private enclosed garden and log burner for the cooler evenings. The hospitality couldn't have been better, all members of staff were very helpful and very friendly. Will definitely be returning
    • Great location, excellent food and very helpful and polite staff. A great hotel.

    Cons -

    • we found the evening menu slightly limited & slightly pricey but it wouldn't put us off staying again- or eating there - as what we had was really good - nothing else that we didn't like- we will definitely return
    • Just wished it did more pub grub.
    • Minor points -There is a small window from the kitchen that looks out to the outdoor seating area of the inn - one to be cautious of when coming out of the shower as the bathroom is by the kitchen. Salt and pepper would have been a nice addition in the kitchen. We brought a lot of our own food but hadn’t considered seasoning. As it is part of an inn it would be a simple but very convenient addition.

The location is wonderful if you want peace & quiet & beautiful countryside. Our room was exceptional with everything provided & a huge bathroom with a double shower. The pub is cosy & friendly with excellent service provided. breakfast was amazing - with a real treat of homemade muffins & buns as an extra surprise treat! Our stay was wonderful & very dog friendly - with beautiful walks nearby.

We arrived slightly early so sat on the bench outside whilst we looked for some local walks. As we were waiting, a member of staff came out to ask if we were ok and then allowed us to check in 30 minutes early which was very helpful! Staff were all very polite. We stayed in The Barn, it was very nicely decorated and spacious. I imagine it would be super cosy in winter with the log burner lit! The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom felt luxurious. We both slept extremely well. The accommodation was in a peaceful location and there was plenty parking just across the road from the main building.

    Location is great

I found the staff and owner slightly rude delivered a drink spilt it didn’t say anything or try to tidy it up ask for a different table rather the one sat right at the entrance door and toilets for the price this isn’t good, ran out of 2 mains on the menu of 6. The best though was the breakfast for somewhere where the food is a very good standard to serve the full English with Richmond sausages is just not acceptable! Very poor

Not a huge choice. But cooked beautifully. Jane who dealt with breakfast. (She took orders and served) she was very good. Friendly and efficient.

Some sort of little fridge in the rooms. Delivered milk in the morning which was good. By the time we got back in the afternoon the milk was not nice. Could not keep any of our drinks cool. The weather was wonderful and hot. A little something to keep drinks cold would have been good.

The food was excellent. Well-curated food and drinks menu. The staff was attentive and professional. The room was spacious and had excellent views. The hotel's commitment to sustainability was evident in all aspects of the hotel experience.

    Nothing. It was perfect.

Beautiful setting with hills and countryside and baby lambs. The accommodation was just over the road from the pub which was the old piggery. Our room was stunning with views to die for and a free standing bath ?Room was comfortable and quiet. The pub has a gorgeous interior mixing modern and traditional brilliantly. There is a wonderful outdoor area:We ate at the pub and the food is exceptional with wonderful staff. The value was amazing with great wines to accompany our dinner. All the food was freshly prepared and it was just spectacular with a menu that changes with what’s available. The venison was truly delicious and fresh from the local area.Breakfast was again fantastic with a wonderful choice. Can’t compliment this place enough we will return.

Loved every bit of the cottage it was beautiful

The shower head is angled and we couldn’t straighten it , maybe a bigger shower head with a little more water pressure if there was anything to feed back as a better if , Apart from this little minor thing it was superb. We would most definitely re book

It was spacious and lovely decor. We had gorgeous views of the peaks.

The pillows could have been more cushioned for comfort

    Beautiful location, beautiful building.

Stinky bathroom. Early check out demanded with nowhere to wait if one of a couple wanted to go for a walk.

I couldn't fault our trip - it was simply wonderful from start to finish. We had booked a king room which was amazing, so spacious, clean and modern. Topped off by a beautiful mountain view. The surrounding area had lovely walks with scenery for miles! The Blind Bull staff were all so friendly and welcoming, taking a genuine interest in your stay. There were so many small touches which made the stay feel extra special! The food was exceptional - everything tasted so good so I would definitely recommend booking an evening dinner in the restaurant.

There is nothing we didn't like! The only very small thing I could share would be that the breakfast time (8.30-9.30) was early - but it forced us up and out into the fresh air! Plus, the breakfast made this a lot more bearable and tempting!!

Beautifully renovated pub in the middle of the stunning Peak District. The food was very good.

Location is very remote surrounded by sheep in fields, the decor is superb, dinner is awesome.

We almost didn’t get dinner as we assumed guests would not need to reserve a table for dinner. Thankfully after mentioning it was our wedding anniversary and a special weekend they found us a spot. This is so remote there is no option for plan B. At check in we were wrongly informed breakfast was not included with our room so we made other plans, at checkout we were offered our inclusive breakfast, some confusion but we got breakfast. Breakfast itself was laughable, of the 4 options one was unavailable I had the cooked breakfast which could have fitted into a single slice of bread folded over. Don’t expect to walk far on that.

The Blind Bull is in a great location, close to many other attractions, or perfect just to sit and chill, and enjoy the surroundings. The room we stayed in was exceptional, and very well thought out in terms of the best use of the space available. The staff were very welcoming, and exceptionally welcoming with dogs.

There was very little that we found to be considered 'negatives' as it is such a lovely place. Just a couple of little things really. A mini fridge in the room would have come in very useful for the fresh milk. A power socket by the long mirror would have been useful. A luggage rack would be a good idea. it would stop people putting their cases on the bed or coffee tables.

The room was absolutely beautiful and done to a very high standard.

After switching off the lights, the room was lit up by the smoke alarm light. This wasn't just a little, I could almost read by the flipping thing. It's high up on the ceiling, so you can't cover it over either. It really affected my sleep.

Super clean, lovely spacious room. Breakfast was delicious too! Loved the extra touch of milk left out in the morning
