Could have done with bigger bed

The hotel has extensive grounds together with many public footpaths which was ideal for walking our dog. Very attentive staff with good food being served. You can even take your well behaved dog into the restaurant.

Very helpful, friendly staff, quiet location, clean property, excellent breakfast, no hot water in the bathroom so we were given money off the dinner.

The single bed was quite rickety and only suitable a child. The spa was long term out of action and really should be removed from ad.

Room and Breakfast. The staff were excellent. Location and setting is lovely. Plenty of space to go and relax and get on with some work.

The spa facilities are closed. I knew this ahead of time, but my partner was joining me for the trip, but when I said the spa was closed, they decided to give it a miss.

Really night hotel with very friendly staff. Lovely bar. Grest restaurant and fantastic breakfast. We will be back with our car group.

The staff were so friendly, nothing was too much bother! The rooms were nice with a modern bathroom. And the breakfast was lovely.

The bed was a little small, standard double but the room could have easily taken a king sized bed.

The grounds were beautiful and the room was very spacious and clean.

The mattress on one of the pull out beds was well used which wasn't so comfortable for my younger son. I think it was the extractor fan we heard come on at around 7 which woke everyone up but it probably can't be helped as I think we were probably in the room above the kitchen. Apart from that it was a lovely stay, thank you.

The gas cylinders were very noisy outside the bedroom.

Breakfast is amazing.Room is quiet and the blinds did a good job blocking lights, I had a good lie in which I intended to.

Didn’t expect there are no tooth brushes provided, neither a hairdryer.Rest of the facilities are great!

Staff very friendly. Room clean. Dinner excellent. Service at both dinner and breakfast was very good. I appreciated having a proper pot of tea at breakfast and the muesli was excellent.

Decor was rather tired and lacking in any sort of charm. Floor lamp in bedroom didn’t work and the hairdryer was sticky as were the salt and pepper grinders in the restaurant.

The hotel was beautiful. However at the time of the booking it was not mentioned or mentioned clearly enough that the spa was shut. When I mentioned this to Joshua at check in, he was more than happy to arrange something which compensated this. In addition bookings.com misplaced my payment, but once again Joshua sorted this out with ease. My family were able to relax here and it is a wonderful place.

Bookings.com needs to make things clear at the time of booking that key services are not available. And also be good not to misplace the payment for the staff and guests to sort out.
