    Pros +

    • Very comfortable beds. Family rooma great size. Delicious breakfast and very accommodating staff
    • Staff were brilliant, food was good as was the breakfast.
    • Close to where I had to attend a funeral

    Cons -

    • The room we thought was poor . Facilities in the room good. However the matress was terrible with springs poking out everywhere. We were told the rooms had been upgraded but failed to find anything.
    • Room 40 close to the block entrance and above me people with heavy feet. Not good for an early night!

    Departure

Hotel is outdated and shabby, beds and pillows uncomfortable, not particularly clean, only one or two plug sockets available. Room was like an oven overnight.

    4KeithPosted on: 12-23-2025

The food was OK. Staff were ok. Bed was comfortable.

1st room smelled of cigarettes. The receptionist gave us another room, which smelled more fresh. Toilets in both rooms were stained. The hotel is very tired and dated.. I certainly will not be staying there again unless some serious upgrades and redecorating has been carried out. We stayed at The Red Lion at Todwick, which was a palace compared to this place.

    Everything was fine. No complaints.

The bar and restauraunt were great, staff very friendly and had a great meal.

The Room was dirty and very tired, carpet worn away and dirty. The bathroom was vary shabby, worn out and grubby. The Hotel refunded me via my Booking.com account but I haven't received a refund yet - 3 months and still waiting. Please can you contact me to discuss

    Literally nothing

The paint was literally falling off the walls in massive big chunks. The floors - I had to keep my socks on. The bed line was barely acceptable. The rooms look alike they haven't been decorated in about 40 years - and that's not an exaggeration. Draft beer was stale couldn't drink it. Door security left a lot to be desired. I mean I suppose u get what u pay for but my god it was horrendous. Pictures are easily from 10+ years ago and well angled

Bar was brilliant for both beer choices and food. Breakfast excellent and all staff were brilliant. Parking great. Location great.

Room itself was very tired. It was the annex. Should have been redone 5 years ago. Bed extra large though and comfy.

The staff are first class. The food was delicious with plenty of choice. Fabulous breakfast.

    Bathroom needed a make over

I thought the breakfast was very good, came out quickly, well cooked, and little extras /seed mix added to avo/egg on toast, that make a difference, staff were really nice and polite. It’s just the place is getting a little tired, but honestly , enjoyed my stay here. Thanks!

Just the dated interiors really, room was clean, shower good,

Love the bed quality, very comforting, ironing equipment are at the corner of your room for you. Good curtains, and love the snacks and coffee refill. The food at the restaurant was delicious, breakfast especially! Love the bar's interior design.

The only thing that bothered me the most was the sink and toilet. Bad toilet flush. Came back exhausted to use the toilet, only to have to deal with pushing the flush many times to make it work. Is it rusted? or old? Please fix it! The sink as well, couldn't unplug without putting my hand into the dirty water to pull the plug out! the metal handle behind the tap that pushes the plug doesn't even work!! I do not look forward to coming back using the toilet but had to deal with it somehow.

    The location

Unfortunately the room has a distinct smell of dog which was most unpleasant, the room was tired and needed redecoration

    9McdonnellPosted on: 4-29-2025

Nicely presented, easy to find. On a main road but quiet. Staff helpful and friendly

May need a little updating but not a massive issue

    6AndrewPosted on: 4-29-2025

The location was good to stay overnight before going to the Silverstone race circuit. The staff were very friendly, food in bar was lovely.

The room was clean enough but it was very dated and decor had certainly had better days. (Family room..room 2) Ceiling was cracked in bathroom, paper was hanging off in places, bedside wall light on left side was broken, no remote for tv and there was definitely a lack of electric points.

    4DianePosted on: 4-28-2025

    Lovely old building

Room was in bad condition really needs curing the damp problems and repainting

    8JanicePosted on: 4-26-2025

Friendly and helpful staff and good value for money.

A wee but dated in the bathrooms.

    6WeedenPosted on: 4-22-2025

The service was good. Very friendly staff.Menu was good.Overall, good value for money. Weedon Bec is a very interesting place. Lovely English village.

Room was worn but clean. Not enough power outlets in Room.Should have an outlet beside bed but there wasn't.

    4ShrimpynikPosted on: 4-21-2025

The food in the connected restaurant was good. The shower was powerful. Friendly staff.

To say the room we had was tired would be flattering. It was exhausted. Not especially clean` and a very cheap feeling standard sprung mattress. Bathroom was in serious need of a renovation.
