Pros +
- It was perfect location for us as we have family nearby
- All staff were friendly. Room very comfortable
- Breakfast was good and value for money
Cons -
- The rooms are a bit dated and it wasn’t the cleanest place I’ve stayed, wifi was not great
- Very odd cleaning smell/air freshener in room
- Evening meal was cheap but poor quality. Disappointed that a Green King pub did not stock Green King beers and also that a pub should un out of wine glasses!

Evening meal was cheap but poor quality. Disappointed that a Green King pub did not stock Green King beers and also that a pub should un out of wine glasses!
The room was very spacious The staff was lovely Especially the lady doing the breakfast this morning She was so lovely ?
Clean comfortable room with full bathroom. Good value. Pub on site for breakfast and meals during day
Everything was fine
Room had plenty of space.Quiet location.Plenty of parking.Plenty of sockets.
No sockets by the bed and one was too low to the floor for a disabled room.Bath - needs to be a walk in shower in a disabled room. The light switch for the bathroom is behind where the door opens. The doors are very heavy to open/close. Often slam shut.
Nothing the food was nasty and cold but I had to send back I never slept the bed was not nice at all am disabled
Nothing not good for wht I paid.
That most staff was nice and helpful but most of all there was one called natalie who as always gone above and beyond... to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.. she as always made us feel welcome ?
Some of the Bar staff are rude when been in ie walking away when trying to order food etc and nearly every time we been in for food something is missing from order or something is wrong with order..
Breakfast was adequate.Location was perfect as we were visiting friend nearby.Nothing really, it suited our needs.
Only had a quick grab and go because it wasn't really open early enough for anything else
Better healthy options for breakfast like fruit/wholemeal bread
From the moment I arrived, the experience was outstanding. I was warmly welcomed by a friendly, courteous receptionist whose genuine smile set the perfect tone for my stay. The room was absolutely immaculate — the cleanliness was flawless and immediately noticeable. The shower was a particular highlight; it was so luxurious that I genuinely didn’t want to get out!I enjoyed a fantastic night’s sleep on both nights, thanks to the incredibly comfortable beds. Every aspect of the surroundings — from the spotless car park to the charming pub and the consistently excellent staff — exceeded my expectations.Breakfast each morning was flawless, with the morning team providing attentive, friendly service that made the start of each day even better.I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone seeking a truly exceptional stay. Even over the busy Easter weekend, the room rates were more than fair, offering incredible value for the quality of service provided. I cannot wait to return!
There was nothing not to like, everything was jus perfect.
It’s location was nice and close to transport
I stay at the property several times a year and have done for several years. Sadly, it does need investment - it looks very tired. I had to change rooms as the bathroom area was very dirty and looked like the toilet had overflowed without being cleaned up. The shower was also damaged. The second room was okay. But the security chain on the door looked like it has been ripped out, the mandatory shower fan was broken and some coving had broken off and was lying on the floor in the bathroom. It just needs some investment.
Breakfast was fantastic, as usual. Excellent choice and great food. The evening meals in the pub are also excellent. The surroundings are better now that the pub has received a bit of attention. The toilets in the restaurant and bar still need some sorting out, though.
The rooms need a little TLC.The floor of the room above was very creaky and we could hear the slightest movement which we found disturbing. We had to ask for an extra cup, glass, pillow and towel. We had to booked for 2 people and the room appeared to have been prepared for just one. However the lady at reception was great and sorted things out straightaway.
Location was very good for what I needed. The continental breakfast was good. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
Reception wasn't manned for booking in. Rang the bell but no response, went over to the restaurant to let them know there were people waiting in the reception area. No hairdryer in the room, but they are listed on the room description. Receptionist explained they don't supply them anymore. No teaspoon with the tea/coffee tray. Could have asked for one I know, but started to feel like a 'pain in the bum' customer. I know these are little things really but they do make a difference.
The staff were really nice, polite and friendly making us welcome
There was an awful noise when using the light/extractor fan, and you had no way of turning the fan off and just use the light.
Breakfast was very good. £9 for a full English and as much as you wanted from cold selection.
There was nothing to dislike, the staff were really friendly and happy. The food menu was good and very reasonably priced.
Great location and value for money. Staff really friendly and we love the pub.
Ample parking, location for me. Comfy bed. Rooms could do with updating considering the prices charged.
Breakfast.. served lukewarm. Sausage had obviously been cooked well beforehand and warmed through so a tough little sausage indeed. Could do with a coffee machine ...jugs do not keep coffee hot.. croissants were stale. Did not have breakfast a second time..
Tidy and well laid out room
Heating was awkward to deal with, not many TV channels.
Great parking, easy to find accommodation, clean spacious room, comfy beds.Fantastic quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the city.A few minutes drive and walkable distance to park and ride tram with frequent trams to the city in about 20ish minutes.
No comfy chairs to sit on in room, no heating in bathroom.Damp towels folded for reuse.Too many non restaurant staff congregating at breakfast area not interested in offering assistance.Young lad running breakfast on first day was great in explaining, second day didn’t have any plates, bowls or tongs out so had to ask, Irish lady on final day was lovely and exactly what you would expect, everything was laid out to perfection and she couldn’t do enough for us.Quality of cooked breakfast (especially vegetarian sausage were so hard I couldn’t cut them with a knife) was poor to our standard having had a lovely one at Premier Inn day prior to our visit.Purely constructive criticism
