OYO Hathern Hotel

Location was easy to get to and lots of parking. Room was an ok size with en suite

Loud noise from the walls. Some kind of extractor. We ended up needing to use ear plugs. Light came from the hallway into the room all night. The shower head and plug were dirty. The bed was uncomfortable. The front door also sometimes stuck unlocked and every time it tried to lock and couldn’t it beeped loudly enough for us to hear from our room early in the morning

Utter dump.

Cheapest fittings, useless customer services, able to hear every conversation from fellow inmates. Grubby. Tiny room. Toiletries were nearly empty. No washing up liquid in the kitchen, which was in another building.

It was clean, I had a good room and it was comfortable.

We needed a cheap bed for the family near the airport for an overnight layover. This was exactly that. It was convenient to get to because, although 2 towns away, there are regular (every 15 min) public buses round the clock stopping at the door.

A little grubby (although the bedding was clean) - stained carpets and that. And two of us were bitten up during the night.

The use of a kitchen/diner complete with washing machine was unexpected.

No wi-fi in the room (807), but it was available further along the corridor. Sound proofing was inadequate and I had a loud TV nest door until gone 1 a.m. followed by very loud snoring for the remainder of the night. Also, with the room being at the front of the hotel, there was road noise. The fact that it was facing onto the car park and at ground level, meant that for security and safety, I could not open a window to air the very hot room.

The room was good and included almost everything we needed as well as free parking. Somebody came over to make sure we were able to access our room OK. We were able to book on the same day and contactless check in was available. The room had good facilities including a wardrobe, desk, kettle and fridge. There isn't much around the hotel, but a few pubs in walking distance that serve food until 9pm.

There was an issue where my info got mixed up with a different guest meaning I didn't receive my payment link or check in details. I was called asking why I hadn't paid when I had never received the link and then after realising I didn't have the details it took much difficulty and many phone calls and talking to many different people to actually gain the correct info. We ended up having to wait outside in the car park for quite some time, eventually giving up and going to the pub for a while until we could access the room. We had booked the hotel in the morning so we didn't expect that this would be an issue when arriving in the evening.

- tv- coat hangers- quick whatsapp repliesThat’s literally it, and these things do not make it worth staying there. Please do not. Pay a bit more and go to a clean hotel that isn’t infested with mold and dirt

- bathrooms were moldy, could hear all the guests coughing, as was I. The room also had a moldy smell- both towels provided had brown stains on, so we couldn’t use them- everything was filthy, the bathroom walls were stained brown and the kitchen was also dirty(floor, utensils etc) - way too hot in the room and couldnt keep blind open to let fresh air in because flood lights outside on the building were on all night

We enjoyed our stay at the property. Bedroom comfortable, clean towels and linen, tea coffee facilities, quiet room. Wish the property was a bit more cleaner. Overall good value for the price paid. Thank you.

Not good

No early check even if requested with payment. Couldn’t wait until 4pm in the late afternoon to use the property so went elsewhere without a refund. Highly disappointed.

Terrible

Had beg bugs in my room and couldn’t contact anyone about it had to sleep in the van .Disgusting as we’d stayed here before .Sent relevant information to the client and not even an apology or anything, disappointing is an understatement
