- We arrived to check in at 1030pm. The reception staff told us our booking was cancelled and there were no rooms. They said there wasn't anything they could and to try another hotel. According to Booking.com our reservation was still standing. They rang another hotel (Britannia, Portland St) and said they said rooms so we should try there. We went (taxi, our own expense) and they had no rooms either, it was a bank holiday Friday night in Manchester so a lot of hotels were fully booked.TLDR: We had to find alternative accommodation for ourselves at 1130pm because of this hotel. It was a stressful and completely unnecessary experience.

Desk area not very clean. Staff friendly and helpful.

close to city centre and many restaurants around the area cost only £2 to the Airport on a bus less than 33mins. Bus 43 routes

My first night was accompanied by considerable noise from the heating system pipes contracting at bedtime and waking me up at 5am. This was my first night, Room 82. Thurs 30 / Fri 31st
Close to where I needed to stay, 24hour reception. Comfortable bed. Room was a pleasant temperature.
The walls were very thin. I could hear conversations in the room next door and opposite.
Beds were clean and water was hot. The staff were lovely. Sat nav address took us to a different address a mile away. Breakfast was good
The room was desperately in need of an update. The heating kept me awake all night from it's gurgling. The corridors, stairs and entrance was tatty and worn. There was a school party there for the football match. Boys running up and down the corridor after 22.00. Some slammed their bedroom door at 03.30am as they left. Probably because they had also been woken.up too. But they woke us up too. I spoke to the head teacher and 2 boys apologised. We were the 2nd complaint Sunday morning.
