Comfortable ; friendly staff; accessible; excellent food.
The bar closed at 10pm however there is a comfortable area in which to enjoy later drinks and conversation.
Great host, great location, great accommodation, great food. And safe parkingAll in all, a fantastic stay
The staff on duty were bubbly, attentive and very polite. The food in the evening was very tasty and presentable, it was actually better than some 5* hotels i have stayed in. The food in the evening is this hotels shining star.
Breakfast was poor, although you can buy extras in the cafe later in the morning. My room had an overall funky smell which lasted all week and appeared stronger each day, so not sure if this was a spray or something following cleaning, but it was like a BO smell.
Very modern and cosy. The house has so much space and great for a large family. Amazing garden with lots of space for kids to explore
I loved that we got a tour and he explained everything to us so we had no questions at the end. Food at the cafe was amazing, we got two full breakfasts, we would have gotten the continental breakfast however we slept in.
Shower was a bit tricky to figure out but other than that our stay was perfect
We were met by the staff on our arrival and shown to our rooms. Rooms were warm and welcoming with everything we needed. The breakfast was exceptional and all the family fully enjoyed the stay. A great location.
Breakfast was Continental although they did offer cooked at an extra price. The owners only took over the hotel in June so not had much time to settle in but they bent over backwards to help with anything or with any problems,Would stay there again, if were visiting the region.
Located at a major road junction could be noisy at times if you were not used to living in a noisy situation, hotel would benefit from double or secondary glazing or thicker curtains.
Receptionist was brilliant, called me when I was running late and a little lost, "brought me home". Good size room, well appointed, comfortable.
Small thing, and only issue, cobweb off of main light fitting.

Breakfast was extremely basic.Located adjacent motorway, so traffic noise really bad, even when windows closed.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was easy to find and well situated for transport.
Friendly staff
Kettle to boil in breakfast room but no tea nor coffee, was in room 7 which was above bar with music audible till 10pm, free breakfast mmm
Location for my needs was great, Room was ok however valve on radiator did not work and room was way too hot, No lamp in the room so I had to read at night with all the lights on.Breakfast was inc however was very poor continental not what i expected
All of the above Breakfast very poor when it says breakfast included, for over £100 a night i would have expected a bit more than a croissant
Off to a great start with a friendly welcome and a clean well equipped room. A good evening meal in the bar, try their own brownies, and a sound night's sleep.
Great location. Very pleasant lounge area off the cafe. Friendly owners.
The breakfast. Continental, until 10:00. We arrived about 8:45. What there was had largely been consumed before we got there. We enjoy breakfast and even to eat cereal we had to ask a passing cleaner for bowls and spoons. There was one petite pain to share between the three of us. I asked for more when the cafe opened, but none were available until the next delivery. There were three yoghurts and three bananas. We were able to order a cooked breakfast from the cafe from 9:00 at a 50% discount. I had to ask for the discount as the staff member did not know about it. The hot drinks that had been available for us to make for ourselves were cleared away when the cafe opened so we paid for tea and toast as well as cooked items. I did complain about the scarcity of breakfast to the owner on our departure. I hate making a fuss but even I had to say something. The owners are new but need to offer a decent breakfast or no breakfast at all.
We stayed in the bungalow and it was beautiful. Clean very spacious. Would defo recommend. Also went to cafe for breakfast, eggs benedict was perfection
Nothing negative at all
Bedding smell of greasy hair pillows need washing
