Pros +
- It was a really lovely place to stay and i would certainly stay there again, however, for the cost it would have been good to have a shower in the room. I was on the top floor with low ceilings and a shower simply wouldn't have fitted in, so perhaps those rooms should be a little bit less. There was very little vegetarian/vegan/pescatarian options on the menu. Otherwise really friendly staff who were very welcoming and helpful.

- The room was nice and comfortable. We had all our breakfasts (3) there and two dinners. The dinners were quite nice: well prepared. The breakfasts were also quite good. My wife got the eggs benedict two mornings and said it was very good. We enjoyed having drinks in the bar/restaurant.
Cons -
- The room I was initially allocated (3 night stay) had a short bath with a shower head fitted to the taps. The location of the bath is end on under the eves, so impossible to shower unless knelt down. There was no shower curtain provided (impossible to fit) so I was anxious of water going everywhere. To be fair, when I mentioned this to the staff I was allocated a different room, so I couldn't have expected more. Unfortunately that room was situated above the kitchen, so conversations, washing up and general noise until the late hours. I appreciate it's a working pub/restaurant but the staff could be a little more aware of residents. Also due to a food intolerance, I requested a meal without an item which would make me vary ill. Unfortunately the food was presented to me without any adjustments made (I'm so glad I checked). I received an apology and the meal was replaced. This really isn't acceptable now days as all staff will be aware of allergies and intolerance.
- I picked a room (10) option that was a little more cramped than some other rooms, but that was on me. It looks like the other rooms were a little more ample.
- Access to car park v restricted . If your vehicle doesn't fit then it's the town car park for you

Food was great and staff friendly . It is a lovely local business

I had paid for dinner. They said I had not so I paid again in the morning. They said they would refund but have not done so.
Room was great although as we were in the attic the ceiling was a little low. No separate shower cubicle and no shower screen which was the only downside. Otherwise excellent facilities!
Not having a shower screen or curtain.
We were in the annex out the back The room was clean, bed comfy and bathroom modern. The staff were friendly and the food in their pub very nice.
If you have a wide car you will have issues getting out the back to park. We had a large rental car and only had a couple of inches to spare. Like most Welsh B&Bs breakfast doesn’t start till 8/8:30 and we had to leave early so not even a cold breakfast on offer.
Great location, interesting old building well modified. Good service.
Slow breakfast service
A very friendly and welcoming pub. We enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. Our room was quiet and overlooked the garden. We charged our EV car in the garden car park and it was straightforward to use.
The duvet was too warm for us and we could not find a cooler alternative in the bedroom.
This is a very nice historic inn in a pretty town. Huge beer garden at the back which is perfect for sitting in the evening sunshine and admiring the surrounding scenery The room was spacious, with an extremely comfortable bed. Having the extra bedroom was great for my son to sleep in, like having your own little apartment. The breakfast was delicious also.
Ideal location, off road parking and ticked all requirements for the dog.
Great food, great beer and superb location
Location, room, staff
A little understaffed at breakfast (but the one lady serving did a sterling job) but food was good
Absolutely loved this hotel/Inn. I have never met such amazing staff. Super friendly. Room was perfect . Food was really good. Right in the middle of the high stress. Highly recommended.
My only negative is the narrow entrance to the carpark.
Friendly and helpful staff, pretty hotel and garden, super location, and good breakfasts. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. But room was cramped around the bed, and the floors above creaked so I could hear the guests walking around in the early hours. The tv was poor, and room 19 was visible on two sides to people passing so I couldn't open curtains on either window when in bed or dressing. Which made my room dark. I couldn't find a hair dryer.

Pleasant & polite staff
The low ceiling & beams in bedroom & no shower
Lovely location in Crickhowell, parking on site even if it is a tight squeeze to get in! The breakfast was lovely and we had dinner in the restaurant one evening. Really lovely food. Great service and friendly staff.
The rooms are a bit small, but that is to be expected in such an old building.
Very central. We were attending a concert in the town which was a two minute walk.Parking on site. Parking is limited in the town and this sealed the deal for us.
We didn’t find anything to moan about.
A lovely authentic pub/restaurant. Lovely food. Excellent breakfast.
It's a small quibble as all excellent but the heating or plumbing system was quite noisy during the night. It wouldn't however deter me from staying again.
Lovely food. Cosy pub. Comfortable (small) room. Fantastic location in the centre of town.
Narrow access to car park..too small to get our vw type van in to (we didn't want to risk it).
