This is entirely my personal choice - I would have liked muesli to be offered among the cereals and grapefruit or fresh fruit salad

Beautifully appointed room with a great breakfast. Free parking in the back. Close driving distance to view the beautiful Wells Cathedral.

I was disturbed that our waiter gave us outdated menus. When he sent me a cheese sandwich with red peppers instead of mushrooms as listed, I was forced to take it and he did not deduct what I did not order from the bill.

Amazing breakfast, clean room and bed, made to feel welcome. Loved the blazing cosy fires and comfy chairs in the bar after our cold walks.

All the staff were so friendly, the rooms were a lovely size and lovely and modern. Free parking and excellent facilities greeted with a welcome letter and some goodies.

Property was very easy to find and parking is SO convenient. Right in the middle of cheddar and plenty of places to eat / drink nearby too. Staff were so lovely and welcoming and the room was perfect. The little complementary sweets and nuts were a bonus too!

It was just what we needed so nothing to comment

The weather!

Good menus for dinner and breakfast.Well prepared and well served food.Good local beer.Attentive and helpful staff.Individually printed "welcome letter" a nice touch.

Sound proofing in room could be improved. We did explain the problem to the staff.

The Room was great and spot on. Staff are excellent, friendly, and helpful. Huge car park. Fantastic breakfast .Excellent stay, I will recommend it to anyone.

A small fridge in the room would be better.

Lovely location in a town with so much to do. The hotel has loads of character and the staff were all lovely. We had one evening meal of the smaller meal menu, 2 courses for £20. Exceptional value, definitely not small. We had a superior room and the bed was larger and very comfortable. Lovely big bath with loads of hot water.

Initial glance around the room was good, however it is tired. Metal window frames covered in rust, paint going off in large chunks in many areas. Bathroom floor come away from the bath panel, which needs repainting. Curtains need replacing or at least rehanging. A shame as a handyman with an afternoon would probably get this almost completely sorted

Breakfast was disappointing. We have stayed here several times and breakfasts have always been good but not this time. Advertised as cooked to order but it was not. The bacon was chewey the mushroom like rubber and the tomato was not coked at all, the sausage was dry and the scrambled egg was lovely.

Welcome was great. Car parking. Comfortable bed. Facilities were excellent. Nice letter from staff about facilities and about Cheddar.

Nothing. Everything was great. Mixer tap for bathroom sink would have been good, but not really a big problem.

Everything, the food is exceptional and so are the staff. Very clean and very well organised

The restaurants are amazingly decorated for christmas with wonderful open fires / log burners. Staff here are amazing. So welcoming.

The hosts were wonderful, we got water and snacks, great pub and restaurant downstairs and lovely breakfast.

The shower temperature wasn't warm enough. It wasn't cold, but not warm enough

We actually booked here by accident (we were meant to book another bath arms), but it was an excellent mistake! The staff were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough to help us. The food was brilliant (excellent value) and the hotel was very cosy and a lovely stay

Very convenient parking, super clean room. The owner and all of the staff make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The restaurant and bar is lively and full of character and the food is superb.
