Located in the village of Didmarton in the Cotswolds, The King Arms offers free Wi-Fi, a bar, and an award-winning restaurant. This traditional 17th century inn offers homely rooms and charming self-catering cottages. Dating back to 1652, the rooms feature wood furnishings, a flat-screen TV, and tea and coffee making facilities. The private bathrooms have a hairdryer and complimentary Bramley bath and body products. The cottages feature a bright living area and a full equipped kitchen. Ironing supplies are available upon request. The King Arms serves seasonal British cuisine in the fine dining restaurant. Dishes are prepared using fresh, locally sourced produce where possible and the bar offers real ales. Didmarton is ideally located just 11 miles from Gatcombe Park and 10 minutes’ drive from the Badminton Horse Trials. - Friendly staff Clean towels and comfy bed 1 night stay
- It worth the effort just for the breakfast alone....top quality...the rest is just a bonus
Cons -
- Poor and pricey evening menu, no specials board, even though it said to ask Breakfast menu no smoothies or fesh fruit Pouched Eggs were not cooked properly Food presentation also very poor although canine menu available Shower didn't work but was given a key to use another shower in another room The whole pub was tired and in need of some tlc Certainly not a 4 star Would not stay here again
