Breakfast, both light and cooked was excellent. although the vegan options were a little sparse. One issue with the vegan options. due to not being catered for as much as other customers the milk provided needs to be kept a check on, we were served with milk that had been in the carton a while and had gone off. It was taken away and changed straight away so no problem. maybe serve milk in a clear vessel

The staff were kind and attentive, and the bar was fun. However, the inn is being renovated and I had to wind through the construction area to get to my room. The room itself was large and renovated but with paper thin walls and devoid of character. Dinner was not good and understaffed. Breakfast was nice with both cooked and cold options. The location is excellent.

Under construction, and materials/debris/dust everywhere on the way to my room. The glassware in the room was not clean and the room was very noisy from neighboring rooms. Dinner was not good and the dining room understaffed. At one point, the only server left to go walk his dog.

On the Cotswolds Way, great sized room

Expensive, cooked breakfast extra, many flights of stairs to room- difficult with lots of luggage- bed very average, dinner ok only

Location was great for our walking the Cotswolds way

It was a lot of money for the roomWe kinda expect that along a popular walk , prices always seem a lot for what you get

It was convenient as it was on the Cotswold Way.The evening staff in the restaurant was very efficient and friendly.

When we were checking in the man at reception could not have seemed more bored and uninterested.Breakfast was definitely not worth writing home about. Croissants and chocolate buns in plastic wrapping, not great. In general we had the feeling the hotel staff was uninterested and overtaxed. The cleaning staff on the other hand was really lovely!! They seemed the only cheerful people in the house. We would not recommend this hotel.

Location, great room with all amenities required.

Bar staff wanted to close early. We would have been happy with this if we had been given notice. Smoking was allowed in the bar unchallenged.

Great location, just off Long Street and the shops and restaurants of Wotton. Friendly staff and a comfortable room.

    Nothing. All good.

The location is really nice a quaint little town, good breakfast selection

The only down side was the shower as I think the pump was no good and the thermostat.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Took our bags to our room. Good breakfast.

Handy for town centre , has character.

Under renovation, noisy , bed not comfortable.

Excellent bed and nice decor. The area around the hotel very nice indeed. Excellent dinner and breakfast.

In our room was a big step up to bathroom so was worried about getting up in the night and trip over. this, however, is obviously nothing that can be done about.

    10SamanthaPosted on: 8-3-2025

I loved the bar area. All the locals, other hotel guests and staff together in one room, including each other in conversations. A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

    Nothing!

I know the hotel well. It is cosy with a family atmosphere. Definitely not stuffy or overly posh.
