Cottage Lodge Hotel

Location and really friendly staff. Good food for breakfast and the evening meal in the restaurant.

No aspects in the stay. The ceiling is very low as a very old building, with a few bangs to the head.

Location was great!Employees/staff were pleasant helpful and kindBreakfast was exceptional!

Staff are very friendly and rooms are clean and modern, even though the building is historic.

There was no wifi service for the entirety of our stay, nor was there any urgency to provide a solution.

Excellent welcome from the owners and staff. Made you feel at home. Beautiful room in a quaint hotel. Delicious home cooked breakfast. The hotel is in a very close walking distance to a range of amenities including lovely pubs and restaurants. Stunning part of the country. Thoroughly enjoyed our two day break.

Charming rooms, wonderful breakfast, great staff. Dinner was excellent.

Everything was wonderful

Cottage Lodge was very comfortable and had excellent facilities. The breakfasts were excellent and the selections of breakfast meals were all enjoyable. The hotel was perfect for us as we could walk to the bike rental near the train station to pick up our bikes. As we did two days of biking, it worked out well. Having a designated car parking spot was nice as we always had a spot to park. From the hotel you can walk to the restaurants and pubs, no need to drive.

Bearing in mind it was a very last minute booking everything was superb. Host was welcoming knowledgeable about the area and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. Will return but hopefully in a larger room.

Good location for exploring the New Forest Nice restaurant

Having to preorder breakfast the day before

The manager of Cottage Lodge was exceptional. His recommendations around things to do, restaurants to visit in the area etc were excellent. The breakfast was incredible! Our room was very comfortable, clean and private.

Location very easy to find and well situated. Friendly and pleasant welcome. Breakfast wholesome and delicious.

I didn’t like my full name advertising my parking space, that might possibly breach data privacy laws, or when parked remove the names (just a thought). My neighbouring apartment walked through my outside space. Wardrobe in the bathroom, would prefer my fresh clean clothes remain away from toileting area. No drinking water in the room. Room bland and slightly uninspiring

Spotlessly clean and tidy. Allocated reserved parking, great location

We arrived early as previously requested, they greeted us and allowed us to park while we arranged cycle hire. There was a birthday message for my husband on our parking sign. On booking in later in the day greeted with coffee and cake and given info. Friendly staff throughout.Cycle experience bike hire close by and eateries if you don't use the in house restaurant. Food inside the property was lovely too. Only had breakfast there but dinner was available if required.

Great location, super breakfast, and very friendly staff/owner.

We forgot to let the hotel know we had a little baby. However, they found a solution and got us a bigger room without any hassle or fuss. Lovely people and very friendly.

The staff are very friendly, accommodating & helpful. Our room had a large bedroom, hanging wardrobe & bathroom. It was fresh & very clean. The breakfast is exceptional. Produce is locally sourced as much as is possible & the menu is extensive & varied.

Good location and friendly staff

Steep staircase and unsure of the rustic features.

Breakfast was amazing with a good choice of items. Plenty of tea or coffee to keep the cold out.All staff were very welcoming and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We had a very pleasant meal in the Whitetails restaurant on our second evening, which was of excellent quality . Breakfast was a delight and very enjoyable. Cooked options were served freshly prepared and piping hot, excellent service on both our breakfast mornings.

The only 2 things that my friend didn’t get on with the first was she kept bumping her head on the sloping ceiling in the bedroom and the other was that she found the room quite cold, which with the help of the portable heater inside the clothes hanging cupboard was quickly improved.

Very clean, homely and nice and quiet.

Great location In a Pretty village setting Great staff Attention to detail spot on Being Gluten Free can be a pain but not for this Hotel fantastic

Location, good restaurant and comfortable room.
