Newcastle Arms Hotel

Everything. One of the best places I've stayed at for years. Great beer, food is brilliant, Landlord and staff were great people, shame I was there for just one night but it was a great night ! Local folk very friendly too....

I was only able to stay for one night.

Location excellent. Easy Parking. The room was clean and bathroom & shower area were well appointed. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Dinner & Breakfast were excellent.

Nice clean room, but no window in the room so a bit claustrophobic.

I love this place, my second stay and it never lets you down, the facilities are great, the staff are amazing and it's great value for money, the breakfast alone is worth the money.Already looking forward to my next trip to the beautiful Scottish borders

Amazing 3 night stay. The location, room, staff and food was excellent. The bar ambience also very friendly with great staff & regulars making you feel very welcome.

Clean and tidy

We were made so very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for any of the Owners/Staff. A homely tradition Inn , lots of character. The food stood out from any crowd, Steaks and Burgers rival anywhere for quality and flavour, the Breakfast no exception.

The single beds need replacing, on the springy side. The kitchen smells are slightly overwhelming in the bedroom (4) , but this is constructive.

We had booked table for 2 for dinner when we arrived i tryed to confirm and met the rudist women ever very unwelcoming basicly saod no for dinner as she had 10 booked that day offered to rush us in at 545 we were ruahed into choosing from menu we had pllaned for nice steak dinner was really took aback with this womens attitude definetly dont stay here again

Very clean and the staff at reception bar and kitchen made me feel very welcome the room was perfect for me the beer was great and the breakfast 10/10

Nothing could not fault it if I tried

The atmosphere was friendly, dinner was delicious, staff exceeded themselves, very interactive and welcoming. Location was great. Quaint little village.

The room was unsafe. Located at the top of the hotel, the only staircase, only way out, where the main door of the room had more than an inch space at the bottom. If there was a fire, I dread to think of the outcome I left as I would never have slept. No contact from the hotel even though my issue was raised with them. No apology. Obviously dont care as long as they get the money.Still waiting for a refund.

Breakfast was good.

Staff could have asked if everything was okay and if we would like anything else. For example no toast was offered. The pub was full of drinkers and there was no where to eat a meal as advertised and no alternative offered

Room is a little small,, but, of course cost is competitive.

Just details. First thing you see is a messy office. The room information was tatty ( just needs a cheap Amazon laminator) A bit of info about the area would have been good. Banged my leg on the sharp edge of the bed. Kettle has to be placed on the floor to reach the plug....Really just easily fixed details
