    • Staff friendly and very helpful. Bedroom clean and cosy. Breakfast really good.
    • Booked this based on the reviews and it did not disappoint! The location was perfect for us and the property is beautiful. Lovely decor, very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. We ate here and food was top quality. Very generous servings and the dining area is tasteful and modern. Had the Scottish Porridge for breakfast the next day and it was amazing! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great night's rest and good food in a stunning location.
    • Nicely decorated & good sized room, handy location, lovely bar & restaurant with good food, staff friendly, complimentary breakfast was great.

    Cons -

    • Everything was good but a wee bit pricey.
    • The bedroom was really cold all night. The radiator didn’t seem to be working properly and the window was only single glazed. With minus temperatures overnight it was rather cool in the bedroom and we ended up sleeping in jumpers.
    • Room a little small but had all we needed in it.

Really loved our stay at the Woodside, all staff were really friendly, good selection of drinks available and the food was excellent!

Our room was pretty cold but Stephanie went out of her way to solve this.

Really nice hotel with fantastic, friendly staff. Room was lovely and clean as was the rest of the property. Breakfast brilliant too. If you're visiting the castle this is a really lovely place to stay and I'd definitely go back.

I had an issue with my fish & chips in the restaurant (cold peas and genuinely the worst chips/fries I've ever had anywhere TBH, it was bizarre) but the staff dealt with it well and the rest of the food was great so I can't complain too much as it was overall great value for the money.

What didn’t you , the property was beautiful indulgent and opulent .

Maybe a tad warmer in the bedroom ,however it was beautiful comfy bed ,clean and much gratitude for the kind gift box to snack I fixed your long curtain the hook came off ,but hey that’s okay the room was stunning beautiful wallpaper and loved the art . Only didn’t purchase because I would create one but feel sure she will have sold it .

Excellent place to Stay. The Hotel is gorgeous inside and out. The breakfast was delicious as was the dinner with lots of choices. The king room was spacious and comfortable with everything you could need for a two night stay.Would definitely recommend and hope to try the Apartments next time with grand kids.

Very pleasant, efficient staff.Tasty food in the restaurant. Enhanced continental breakfast great value.Room was very comfortable. Powerful shower.Snacks in the room.

Traffic noise from the road outside a bit loud at times through the night.Would ask for a room at the back of hotel next time.

Very clean bedroom, facilities and an inviting comfy bed. Staff were super helpful and especially kind with my elderly Mum and any additional needs. Thank you.

Room was smaller than I’d hoped given it was a Delux double. En-suite lovely handy - no accessible rooms so really had to take a chance late booking as Mum unable to climb stairs easily during our brief stay. No lift. Looking forward to the potentially accessible rooms!

Booked in for two nights and the staff were extremely welcoming, as soon as you stepped in the door. The room was exceptionally clean, and the wee snacks were a lovely touch. You could control your heating in the room. Lovely seating areas downstairs and the locals very chatty too which was nice. Staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. I would 100% book again as was such an enjoyable two nights.

    Nothing to complain about

Good restaurant, nice clean room. Stayed a few years ago and hasn't changed since then.

    Nothing to really complain about.

I booked 2 nights for a family member and his partner. They said they had a lovely welcome and the staff were extremely kind, friendly and helpful. They commented that the room was exceptional and the power shower was just the best. They also said that there were a wonderful selection of tea's and other items which were replenished the next day. The staff also assisted with local knowledge. The log burner was cosy on arrival. My son and I are going to visit later in the year as the hotel looks beautiful. I spoke with Lynn who went above and beyond. Great service and don't stop what you are doing.

The atmosphere as you walk in and the warm welcome by staff. The bed was so comfy and shower was great. The lovely complentry water, biscuits, crisps in room followed by a great cup of Taylors coffee bags, which I've never had before, couldn't wait to get home to order some of those!!

Nothing, everything was greatThank you.I'd definitely stop over again.
