Very nice rooms. Great bar and food. Breakfast was excellent

Central location, hotel parking and garden, friendly staff, tastefully refurbished single room and en-suite, good value. The beautifully cooked breakfast was memorable.

The bar is clearly popular with locals, but after a long day I sought something more restful.

Bed super comfy, room clean and spaciousfor the price, food excellent and lovely staff. Highly recommended

This is not a complaint as my stay was good, merely an observation - Shower worked fine but the shower cubicle was a dated older small unit that you could hardly swing a cat in but you manage. The bed was tired and I think one of the divan units was broken as the bed wasn't level and the mattress was a little soft for my liking but i managed to stay on one side as it was large enough but ideally could do with renewing in an ideal world, but i still slept ok

Very nice friendly staff clean rooms with free WiFi a comfortable bed and a good breakfast in the morning. Shops within walking distance and other attractions close by also very handy for Aberdeen and the hospital without staying in the city would definitely stay again.

A bit noisy earlier in the night with boy racers in their cars being idiots. Not the hotels fault.

Friendly, warm reception. Great room. Spotlessly clean and comfy bed. Great shower. Plenty tea/coffee etc. Good choice for breakfast.. nothing too much trouble. Convenient, well lit parking. EV charge point nearby. Definitely be back. Go!

Nothing. They even had a little laptop size table so I could carry on with work. And a little bag of toiletries. Nice touch.

Good value for money and all the staff we met were lovely, we had breakfast included in the price which was very good and the male staff who served us was lovely (sorry I can't remember his name)The room was clean and we had a problem with the bed but this was quickly rectified so we enjoyed our stay apart from a couple of things I would come back and would recommend

The mattress in our room was horrible it was one of those cheap one, not what you'd expect , quickly sorted and our new room and mattress were lovely turned out we had contractors staying on our floor who had no respect for other guests, door slamming and talking while back and forth into each other's room and going out to smoke, not the hotels fault but they need to think about the rooms they put them in, we didn't mention it to anyone as only stayed 3 nights so hotel unaware Sent

Location and breakfast.

Bed extremely uncomfortable, mattress needed replacing, bathroom had sliding door which didn't fit properly and no blind at bathroom window

Great location, staff very helpful and friendly. Food was very good and restaurant comfortable and nicely decorated. Great breakfast to set you up for exploring village. Lovely bar with lots of friendly locals and seating out in the garden for good weather. Parking very good and loads of spaces.

If you plan to stay here be aware that the bar gets very lively, music, lots of merry folk but bar closes at half 12 when the music also stops. If you get room above bar, which we did, it's unlikely you will get any sleep til then. Doors banging, bass thumping and people talking loudly outside windows. Smell of smoke too as this wafts up through window. Closing window only cuts this down a bit.Bathroom needs updating and room bit tired.

Room directly above bar with very loud music. Was not warned of this before booking - yet I now know they have had many complaints. Told music would go off at midnight, as if that was perfectly ok. It actually went off at 12.40 a.m. - imposible to sleep till then. Most people in bar only seemed able to shout, perhaps because of how much they had been drinking!At 8.15 in morning a member of staff unlocked and opened my door while I was still in bed.Saturday morning and told last breakfast was at 9.00.Utterly appalling.

Tasty evening meal and a very good breakfast. Friendly, helpful, cheerful staff.

Some good quality coffee would be appreciated at breakfast.

Very comfortable room, had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was included in the price and was excellent. We had dinner in the hotel too as there's not a lot of choice in Alford on a Tuesday night. Having said that, the food was great. Best steak I've had in a very long time.

There was a little bit of noise from the bar in our room - but after the bar shut, it was very quiet so not a problem. The Rotary Club were meeting in the restaurant so we had to eat in the bar - its the same menu so that wasn't a problem, though we did move table as there was a large pool table in the middle of the bar, which was very popular.

It was a gorgeous property very nicely decorated

No hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes most properties don’t bother to put hooks up the music I don’t know if it was a live band kept us awake till way past midnight which we didn’t consider when booking was not impressed music doesn’t have to be that loud hate to think what their neighbours put up with
