    Pros +

    • Great location in the village. Just happened to be there for a music festival weekend. A lot of fun in a bar next door listening to a local band. Good food in the seafood restaurant-try the smoked Haddock & chips. Friendly staff.
    • Food and location. Dinner was excellent.
    • Central to this little fishing harbour. Has a great seafood in the hotel. There are also two pubs and a couple of restaurants nearby. Free parking opposite the hotel.

    Cons -

    • The hotel is a little worn around the edges. Carpeting, windows, shower.
    • Shabby, rundown and not very clean. Especially the bathroom.
    • Nothing I didn't like. The interior decor is a little on the tired side, but it is clean & tidy.

Delicious dinner followed by a good nights sleep with a great breakfast to follow in the morning. Comfortable clean room and a good bathroom with a fantastic shower. Staff were very friendly and even though we had an issue with payment it was easily sorted over the phone with no issue at all. Recommend to everyone

    Nothing worth talking about

Great location. Staff lovely. Food value for money and tasty. Bed was comfy.

Needs upgraded and decorated. Very dusty and radiators rusty. More sockets needed in rooms.

Great location, close to the ferry to Islay. Access point and right on the harbour.

Totally mispriced for the quality of hotel. Linens and towels old, room extremely tired and hallway ceiling damaged from prior leaks or something. Aesthetically unpleasant, given I paid £155. 1 night

The room was very nice (Room 4 if my memory serves me right) with nice bed and shower etc. The hotel overall was very good with a lovely breakfast. Bicycles were safely stored at the back of the hotel with access via the fire escape rear door. Carrying the panniers upstairs was no problem. Carpet on the stairs was dirty but this we were told was due to a town festival . staff all very nice, friendly and efficient. The town is very nice with plenty of cafes and restaurants. A nearby general store (COOP ?) and post office.Ferry was not too far away.

Dirty stair carpet but this will be cleaned (said the staff member).

Great location on the harbour, good room and fab restaurant, we enjoyed our meal and drinks. Staff helpful and friendly.

Bathroom a little tired and in need of some TLC - wall and shower seal.

Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast very good other than weak coffee

In a pretty harbour with some friendly staff. The bed was comfortable and clean Very close for catching ferry to Islay.Lots of free parking right opposite the hotel.

The hotel is in pretty harbour but the hotel and the village it is all very rundown.Top floor room with not much view.Bathroom had mould across the whole ceiling.Room was quite tired. We had two tiny bottles of shampoo and shower gel for 3 adults and also a packet of only 2 biscuits for the 3 of us.Staff were very friendly but trying to find anyone to check in and out was a problem.Breakfast was quite mediocre. We were told we couldn’t have a drink in the bar as the tables were all booked for food despite only one having guests at the time.Told we could go to the pub next door but this didn’t look particularly inviting.

    - Free parking by the front door.- nice location in pretty harbour area.- good on site restaurant. - pleasant room.

    - having to climb stairs to my room- an incredibly tiny shower stall- a very small double bed

Beautiful views over the harbour. Good central location. Quiet. Excellent bike storage.

Minor thing - heated towel rail didn’t work.
