- very good breakfast and greeting by the owner
Cons -
- Our room was right at the top of the hotel, so difficult to get cases up to room. Room was cramped but comfortable.
- Only issue. If your taller than 5'10 watch your head :)
- i had a small double bedroom which was ok but the showering was difficult as i am tall and the ceiling sloped over the bath so unable to stand straight

Very friendly polite helpful staff
Everything ok was just good
The room was nice and really spacious. We didn't use the restaurant in the evening, but the breakfast was good. Staff were really friendly.
There was no hot water in the morning, so we both had to have a cold shower. The floorboards were extremely creaky and the bed was too, it was comfortable but made lots of noise.
Pleasant interior and bar area. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Very good value for money and the restaurant food was very nice.
Although the attic room I had was generally great, I was unable to fully stand in the bath/ shower due to the slope of the roof.
The room was very basic but clean and comfortable. The towels were changed and the room cleaned daily. The breakfast was really good and the staff couldn't do enough for you.
The room was quite dated and could do with a revamp
The room was comfortable, clean and warm. All staff were friendly and helpful. We had breakfast and dinner and both were very good. There is ample parking at the front and you can have a drink outside when the weather is good.
Excellent hotel . Breakfast to die for. Staff made you feel welcome. Evening meal absolutely fantastic. Also lovely cozy bar . Would definitely stay again
Great location and friendly staff. Very clean and overall the room was lovely. There was no actual shower in room 12 with the very low ceiling height so that was a little disappointing after a full day out and about. Also the bed was only a double and felt very small for an average couple. Having said that the room overall and facilities were really good. We would be happy to stay again in a room with a larger bed and a full shower !
Found hotel to be very friendly and welcoming. House was beautiful and well maintained. Meals were superb and room was spacious and comfortable.
Nothing. We had a lovely time and will definitely stay again.
Great accessibility, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, great breakfast
Room was warm, comfortable and clean.
Creaky floorboards !!!
We visited Manor House Hotel for evening meal and overnight stay as we were walking in the Lake District. On arrival we
Location, breakfast, staff.
The room was “tired” but it was comfortable.
Good location very helpful sraff
Bar closed at 10pm
The staff were very accommodating arranging a packed breakfast as I had to leave early. Very warm reception from all the staff and a homely feel in the hotel. Beautiful building also. Had the small plates in the lounge area which were very nice. Would stay again.
The furniture in the bedrooms a little dated but did not take away the comfort.
Plenty of car parking right outside the hotel. I arrived late but the member of staff was very helpful. I had an early start the next day and the staff gave me a continental breakfast to take with me. My room was a single on the top floor. Comfortable, quiet and everything working in the room. The shower was powerful and plenty of hot water. The TV worked well and was clean. The WiFi was efficient. Good value for money. Thank you.
One thing was missing. The skylight window didn`t have a blind.
Good location, informative & friendly staff, nice room with good facilities.
Breakfast slightly over salted
The hotel has a very imposing frontage. A warm welcome at check-in from the owner and lady serving breakfast was friendly. Room warm and comfortable. Working hot shower. Good tray in room with tea and coffee etc. Lovely cooked breakfast with cereal, juice etc. Excellent parking. 2min walk to the shops.
I paid £88 B & B which I feel was too pricey for a solo traveller, but OK for a couple.
