The location was perfect, food was incredible and the staff were lovely.

Wish there was a full English option for breakfast

Paide extra for a great room large room,, ,large comfortable bed , and clean. Room and bathroom lots of tea and instant coffee etc

Says on room facilities, mini bar NO, coffee maker ,NO , the room rate was breakfast included. Disappointing is the word ,if not just rubbish, especially on the Monday morning, as the main event was a stale hard bagel, and some stale Danish pastries, there was some wet ham and plastic cheese to go with the bagle ,no butter,no toast let alone a cooked breakfast , we weren't even told it would be a "continental breakfast , I presume because we had our dog with us at this "dog friendly inn " we were sent to eat alone in the bar and walk through 2 rooms and the entrance hall to collect our meager b/fast , on the Tuesday morning we were offered butter and toast after we asked for the butter So I would not recommend staying at the Steam Packet Sunday or Monday nights as your breakfast will be "disappointing" a great shame as the rest of it was good ,oh except the pie I had for my dinner on the Sunday was not good ,the mash was nice

Absolutely amazing view . Great beer on offer , no food on Monday and sties day but I had eaten I believe the food is amazing so will time it better next time. Continental breakfast was nice.

Staff were great, very efficient and friendly, good knowledge of local area. nothing was too much trouble. The young girl on breakfasr service deserves a mention, she looked after us well and was knowledgeable about the area. Restaurant was lovely, food was great good menu and choices. Tasted Delicious. Loved the handmade chocs!!! Huge bonus that the dog was very welcomed not just tolerated. Spoiled with treats!!! Room was very clean and comfortable, bed bit soft for us but that is personal taste, didn't stop us relaxing and sleeping!!! Lovely great big bath, had wonderful soak after a day walking and sightseeing. lovely coastal walk only 5 mins away.

The rooms in need of a little TLC but were still very clean and comfortable.

Excellent food - we had a lovely evening meal and the continental breakfast the following day was comprehensive. They were able to offer a wide range of gluten-free options. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. Great views and a nice, clean room with a comfortable bed.

no heating in the rooms when we arrived. staff did light the fire to heat the rooms, but radiator in bathroom did not heat.

The location was lovely. Very quiet. Stress free. Easy access.

The breakfast was staggering. I had the full breakfast - it was very big! The following day I had kippers, not as large, but still good.

It was a little disappointing that some of the choices of food were not available.

This was a return visit for us and all good, helpful & friendly staff, amazing dinner and breakfast, quiet location with views over the harbour… we’re looking forward to our next visit to the area.

The staff were all friendly, cheery and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent, plenty of choices. The food on the whole: lunches and evening meals were 5 star. Rooms were clean with plenty of space, overlooking a fabulous view of the harbour.

We could have done with a rail to hold onto getting into the bath to shower.

Had breakfast and dinner, food was lovely with specials that changed each evening. Staff were great. The beer was excellent as expected.

The views from our room were gorgeous. However, generally the room needed a bit of updating, and the bed wasn’t the best!

We are a couple who have been travelling around the UK for over a month. Our stay in this hotel gave us the most enjoyable accommodation we have experienced. The staff were universally helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was superb. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked very well.

There was nothing that we didn’t actually like but the hotel only provides evening meals five days a week

The staff were very helpful food was good and a good variety of cask ales as well as kegs

Lovely hotel/bar/restaurant overlooking the harbour. Breakfast included and there is a really good selection. The bar sells 5 real ales, 4 of which are made at the brewery around the corner.The staff were all pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

Wonderful location, excellent food, very friendly staff.A little heaven on earth.
