The rooms were immaculately decorated and clean with thoughtful touches. The staff were all really nice as well. The food in the restaurant was amazing. Absolutely nothing bad to say about the place. Highly recommend.

The rain but despite that we had a lovely time
This is a lovely hotel, beautifully upkept in original character but there is no sense of over formality. The evening meal was lovely but we’d recommend having sides of potatoes, veg etc if you are at all hungry!
It was a very good experience but perhaps a bit expensive compared to several similar places we’ve stayed in over the past month or so … especially as they had no option for a room with a bath.
Delightful comfortable rooms and superb locally sourced food, well worthy of Michelin Star from an enthusiastic unpretentious young team… Faultless.
Turn left from the front door and you are on a beautiful country lane. The food was astoundingly good, the Kirkstyle IPA excellent, a great and competitively priced wine list… we will be back soo.
The only slight gripe was that in our room the noise of chatter from the restaurant coulee heard, but that ended at a reasonable time.
The interior decor and soft furnishings were wonderful. The staff attentive and caring. Our meal quite sublime. A new favourite from now on
