Lake Lounge Rooms

Great location, right next to the lake.

1. Car park had no available places despite being advertised as no pre booking necessary. We then had to park in expensive car park across the road. 2. On the first night of our stay, staff were shouting loudly until circa 3am in the morning. This led to us having a very poor nights sleep. 3. We stayed above the kitchen and whilst I appreciate smells come with cooking, the smell within our room was so strong of fat fryers. This made our clothes smell. 4. Advertised a hair dryer and toiletries but neither were available during our stay. 5. Cleanliness of the room was sub-par. Upon arrival, we had to dispose of various cobwebs 6. Decor was very dated and in need of restoration. Bathroom fittings needed replacing, shower grubby, carpet worn and wallpaper peeling off.

Jim, Josh, John, and the entire staff were very professional! Very nice place. The food, the staff, the room and the customer service was awesome! I will be booking here again! Thanks to everyone! Marty

Excellent room, clean, well-furnished, very pleasant.

Room advertised with parking space. There was only a small yard at the back where cars were blocked in. Not 'room with parking' at all.

The location was amazing. Loved being next to the lake and it was 12 minutes into work

The staff threw a party on the Wednesday night and turned loud music on at 1:45 a.m. It was impossible to sleep through and they were so drunk that they couldn't open the door to the restaurant that I was banging on to complain. Apparently it was a staff members birthday. When the man eventually opened the door, he stunk of alcohol, was slurring his words and then offered to hug me. There was also no local option for breakfast in time for us to get to work for 8 a.m.

The Room was really basic for the cost. There were a lot of Cobwebs and the Carpets were grubby. The Tv didn’t have any internet connection

Clean rooms, friendly staff. Restaurant close by.

No door between accommodation and kitchen so room smelt of fried food. Bathroom to small spatially, toilet too close to the wall, bad design. Free parking not possible due to patrons using the restaurant filling it up. Beds were uncomfortable. The room I had wasn't in the pictures presented so I thought I would have a desk to work at but my room did not. Can get noisy from the lounge below.

There seemed to have been a lock in down in the bar, which disturbed my sleep till at least 3am, wasn’t too pleased with losing some much needed rest after a long day on the road!

The staff were very friendly

We booked a garden view .. this requires a sizeable stretch of imagination! Two huge extractor chimneys outside our window meant until 9pm we couldn’t open our window at all. Bathroom needs some serious attention as does the wallpaper and carpet in the room. The bedding was clean much to my relief.

Don’t stay Friday-Saturday if you can’t sleep with loud music in the background.

booking.com website said pub closes at 11pm. Then when you’ve made the booking, which was nonrefundable, you get an email from Lake Lounge stating Friday & Saturday there can be noise up until 1am from the downstairs bar. The pub must have club nights on the weekends and It felt like i was sleeping above the dance floor, i was able to sing along to the songs. If i knew this before I would’ve stay there on a Friday night. The room was fine and it would be a nice place to stay Monday to Thursday.

The hole experience was brilliant lovely location great rooms with free parking. the rooms Lovely and clean Dinner here is stunning it's at a very high standard. staff also great and friendly. highly recommended hotel.

Disappointing

We had a room with a Lake View - unfortunately next to a very noisy road along the lake. The room was small and the bathroom tiny and there was music till about 2 am.
