Pros +

  • The location and grounds were very picturesque. The rooms were so lovely and beds very comfortable. The food was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
  • Nice large, comfortable room. Very quiet at night. Staff were friendly and knew their job. The premises, both inside and outside, are remarkably spacious given that the building would probably be described as a village pub.

Cons -

  • It was Easter school holidays and so, for an early Friday evening, it was busy around the bar serving position. Added to this the locals have learnt that its a welcome place for dogs. So, I would always recommend if you are eating, it is best to sit in the spacious restaurant to avoid constant distraction. This is not a complaint, rather to advise that there is a choice. Also, there is a large garden outside, so large that a customer referred to it as a field.
