Pros +
- The room was clean bathroom very nice
- Room was clean and spacious. Friendly staff and great location.
- The hotel was comfortable and was convenient as I was visiting a friend. I found the T.V had no signal and the lights around the bed didn’t work but it was clean and I had a good nights sleep. The holding of a card details for in case of damages as a solo traveler I felt a little excessive. I think if I had been part of a larger party it would have been more understandable. But I probably would stay again as it was really close to a friend I was visiting and already know the area.
Cons -
- Beds need replacing very uncomfortable and on the base quite few dirty stains duvet covers need sewing as ripped or replacing.
- No plug near the kettle station so had to plug kettle in next to bed. Furniture very tatty and worn. Base of beds were grim, wardrobe felt unsteady, took ages for warm water to come through. Very noisy (didn't bother us as we were going to the same rave as the other noisy guests, but if you weren't raving with them it wouldn't have been a pleasant stay). Price was a bit steep considering the quality of the furnishings and overall facilities.
- Bed mattress too hard, bit uncomfortable

Easy walking distance to emporium. Lots of other emporium visitors at the hotel. Comfortable beds. Clean bathroom with plenty of towels supplied. Good supply of tea and coffee in the room. Easy access to and from room via back door.

Nice room, clean and tidy, facilities good, pleasant staff
Bed mattress too hard, bit uncomfortable
The personel is very accommodating and the room is very clean.
About the light bulb in the head bord is not working, I think its busted
The staff where kind and very friendly.
Knife on the floor of my room the terrible smell and screwdriver, The staff then let me change rooms and I then narrowly missed a bar fight downstairs in which a local punched a customer who is staying at the hotel with me for the same work trip (there was no previous communication between the gentleman and his assailant) who then used the snooker qué he was using to defend himself.Apparently this is normal behaviour in the area tho.
Staff efficient. Good sized room.
Unable to speak to staff when we needed them. The shower was too hot, then freezing. Beds uncomfortable. The room looked like it had not been checked properly. There were food crumbs on the floor, cobwebs on surfaces. 2 glasses and 3 mugs for 4 people staying in the room.
Conveniently situated
No food available. TV didn't work but bar/reception was so far away and I had no confidence it would get sorted
Pleasant
paying £10 extra just for arriving an hour later, which wouldn’t make much different as it was before it was closed. when I already paid £81 for the night.
Stayed at this hotel for a night out at the Emporium. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and it has a good bar aswell with decent music and a pool table. Close to nearby town (5-6 minutes walk) and the facilities, hotel room were clean and fine. Would visit again in the future. Parking spaces are also available for guests behind the hotel for no extra cost or charge either which was ideal.
Staff were very helpful, room was warm & comfortable & well stocked
Good location and car park
Bar closed too early. Staff rude
we were in the triple room last minute booking. only one available. quite expensive when no breakfast included. beds were comfortable ensuite lovely. only complaint about room is no table and chairs and no hairdryer.
The bed was comfy and the bathroom was nice
The room was small, facilities were beyond basic, bar closed before 9pm on a Friday evening though if says open until 11 so no were to get a drink, area was rough hairs found in shower,
The member of staff we met at check-in was lovely.
Parts of the room were very dirty. The booking wasn't value for money. Wouldn't return.
Location, very clean, and spacious room
Very friendly and polite. Very clean, beds were comfy
We requested a ground floor as it was an option, was given a room upstairs
Fantastic location for attending The Emporium as it’s less than a ten minute walk away. Lively bar downstairs with great staff and friendly locals (we even had one of the locals come to club with us and we’d only spoken to him for ten minutes). Our room was spacious, clean and we didn’t hear a peep from the other occupants.Overall, a great stay and good value for money.Cheers HH Hotel, we’ll see you in October ?
Tap water was freezing and didn’t heat up for some reason, but I didn’t have the energy to deal with it at the time and therefore didn’t raise it with the staff.
Reception process good. Pleasant room.
Uncomfortable bed. No food availability. No hot water at the sink. TV changed channels of its own accord during a programme and came on in the early hours, resulting in having to switch off at the mains.
